33 cl bottle, bottled on? Pale blond, very hazy with a lot of yeast particles and an abundant and rather stable head. Sweet alcohol aroma with hops and apricot. Yet very dry in the mouth, hop, citrus fruits clearly present in the flavour; some resemblance to lambiek is also there. Very refreshing and enlivening. Those Dutch guys must have drunk a spoiled batch.

UPDATED: OCT 19, 2004 At de Bierkamer in Kluizen (Ertvelde).Very nice beer with a lively caracter. It has a orange-blond color and good fluffy head. Good aromatic beer with fine hints of fruit, lemonpeel, fine malts, fresh ginger, good touch of vegetal hops and madeleine cakes. The taste is also very good. It has hints of fresh milkbread, Kellogg’s Frosty’s, sweet cakes, ginger, orangezest some unripe white stone fruit and and also a vegetal touch of hops. This beer has a nice mouthfeel with a touch of yeast and with a light sweetness in it; In the afthertaste there is a well balanced hoppyness. To me this is an outstanding brew.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2006 re-rate, Bottled, blind tasting session: Totally different from the preciuous bottles I had. Aroma of white wine and citrus. Pale yellow color, hazy, white head, fair lace. Medium sweet and stays that way alle the time. Light increasing bitterness. Flavor starts white wine-like with apple, in between some caramel and strong pineapple flavor in the finish, medium body. Not easy drinkable but nice. December 2003, 0.9: It smells like someone who ate a banana and than threw up. Cloudy, yellow color, white head, no lace. Light sweet, light fruity and light vommit flavors. Medium to thin body. Had it at the unofficial Dutch Ratebeer Meeting but also tasted another bottle at home. Could all three bottles have gone bad?

caesar (3748) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - DEC 14, 2003
Dutch ratebeer meeting. Clear yellow coloured, firm head. My scribbled notes say: "puke and banana aroma. Alcoholic, puke taste. Sharp, banana palate." 2 bad bottles again?

UPDATED: DEC 15, 2003 Dutch ratebeer meeting. Clear yellow coloured, firm head. I can be clear about the aroma: it stinks! Flavour is a bit better. Disgusting palate. Drain pour.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2007 (Dutch ratebeer meeting) Very exquisite smell of rancid puke. Cloudy, yellow coloured with a thin white head. Taste is likewise the smell. Bitter yukkie aftertaste. Alcoholic and sharp.
Rerate 2007-05-08. Aroma of honey, fruits and yeast. Cloudy, orange coloured with a medium, thick, off-white head. Taste is sweet, yeasty with some orangest and honey. Dry, bitter finish. Much better than during my previous tasting. Lingering taste, somewhat alcoholic.

Blond beer with yeast flakes. Small head. Somewhat sweet, spicy and hoppy aroma and taste. Light bitter flowery finish. A very well balanced beer.

fraternie (754) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 20, 2002
Somewhat spicy/ fruit malt. Incredible finish, smooths out and lingers with flavor. Could have more complexity in the flavor, but a pleasant surprise as it was recommended to me by the bartender in a local bar in Brussels--Le Bier Circus (quite possible my new favorite place on earth).
