COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
NOCTURNA: high fermentation stout made with oatmeal flakes, roasted barley malts and a small percentage of malts smoked over beechwood fires. A complex and fascinating beer to be served with plenty of foam in a flared glass. Serving temperature: 11degrees C.
Available in bottles (33cl and 75cl) and kegs inox (5L and 25L) Key Keg (30L).
Food combinations:grilled meat, freshwater fish, bacon, smoked prosciutto (speck), smoked cheese,oysters,lobster.

Oatmeal stout, con aroma di tostato, cioccolato soprattutto e caffe’. Al palato molto morbida grazie all’avena, dolce, con amaro da tostature nel finale, cioccolato fondente. Molto piacevole!

Cask at the brewpub in Genoa. A murky dark brown coloured pour with a a creamy light tan head. Aroma is smokey wood, vanilla, oak, meaty,.. Flavour is composed of sweet coco, chocolate powder milky roast, dark fruit, prune. Palate is flat and milky, medium bodied. Chocolate and tangy fruit lingering.

At a tasting, thanks, small stable bubbly beige head, very dark brown color, aroma of toasted bread and roasted coffee with chocolate cake in the back, dark bread flavor with some smokey notes and dark chocolate in the back, light mellow bitterness. Very nice.

33 cl @ bottle. Ottima stout dolce per questo birrificio di alessandria. Ha vinto il premio dell’anno come Birra dell’anno, qualche anno fa. Meritato.

In bottiglia, a casa. Colore nero con sfaccettature marrone scuro. Testa media color crema di caffè, da soapy a cremosa, di media persistenza. Carbonazione da soffice a media. Olfatto tostato, un po’ scarico. Aroma tostato di avena e orzo, caffelatte con un po’ di vaniglia, cioccolato al latte, frutta chiara secca, crosta di pane, lontanissima nota di legno di faggio. Più amara che dolce, è abbastanza equilibrata. Corpo da sottile a medio, trama lattica. Stout italiana piacevole e ben fatta, da manuale. Volendole proprio trovare un difetto, forse un po’ timida nelle sensazioni che comunque offre. Per Unionbirrai, Birra dell’anno 2014 nella sua categoria.

Pours dark brown/ black, thin foam. Nose is lactic/ coffee. Good body (oatmeal flakes do the job), taste of coffee beans, wood, dry finish. Nice delicate bitterness given by the malts, long on the tongue.

Draft sample @ Birra Expo’14, Piacenza. Brune foncée, col beige crémeux blanc cassé. Arôme est malté grillé, léger chocolaté caramel avec une petite pointe de réglisse et choco fondant. Palais est profond au niveau caractère malté, avoine goodness, léger fini café/chocolaté tout en restant très légère. Amertume pointe son nez en fin de bouche et apporte une petite touche UK noble. Fini grillé sur un petit résiduel fumé?
