COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Filtered.
Strong lager available in cans and bottles.
Pelne signifies "pale lager".
Kanclerz Jasne Pelne is brewed in the Kaszuby region, famous for its beautiful clear lakes, rolling fields and unspoiled forests. The inhabitants of the region are justly proud of their excellent beer, which comes from their home town. Kanclerz’ long maturing period helps to give the beer a full, round taste and make it eminently drinkable.

Charackterloser Antrunk mit leicht süßer Getreidigkeit in einem wässrigen Umfeld. Mild herb im Mittelteil mit süßer hell-Malzigkeit. Insgesamt weiter wässrig und leicht plörrig wirkend. 8/5/5/4/6/4

Can, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours bright and shiny, clear, well filtered golden body, carbonation of body is medium, head is white, foamy, quite quickly disappearing, rather no hints of lacing, what lasts is a small, thin froth on the surface of the body.
Aroma: Wet fur, some unfreshness, no distinctive hoppy nose, neither grainy nor hoppy, accidic, some notes of rust, metallic, can, slightly milky, chalk, rather faint aroma, nothing special or worth interest, tap water with a water supply pipe accent, the wormer the beer is the more chalky and unfresh the aroma becomes. Not inviting.
Flavour: No sugar, like a poor quality Pilsener, water, accidity, rust, watered grains, a bit crispy, later on barley malts on palate and quite tolerable water quality, but in fact dominating over the flavour. Finish duration is short.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery, carbonation is soft to medium on palate. Finish feel is wattery, accidic, grainy and crispy but dominated by water.

Can, from High Spirits in Cleethorpes. Gold, thin shortlived white head and low condition. Vague sweet cereal notes in the nose with a little fruitiness, quite smooth and refined in the mouth but quite muted. Some gentle malty sweetness balanced by a modicum of hop bitternesss and a warming background alcoholic note. Warmth extends to the finish but little else can be bothered to make the short trip.

Slightly disappointing lager from Koszalin breweries, whose Brok beers I like. Straw colour, medium bubbly head. No particular aroma; acidic taste with not much hops and bitterness. Refreshing, but a bit too light.

Canned. An orange coloured lager with a big head on pouring, but that disappears in no time. The aroma is grassy hops. The taste is on the sweet and floral side and is like a strong Bohemian pils. Acceptable.

Bottle from my local Indian supermarket. A strong lager with a firm, sweet body and moderate hops and carbonation. Quite drinkable with no off flavours. Some pleasant fruit notes. A nice beer.

Head initially big but vanished quick. Light goldish look. Average polish pilsner with nice refreshing taste.
