Tasted at the late night tasting after the Grand Tasting at RBWG Asheville. Pours thick, oily black with a thin tan head that leaves a thin collar of lace. The nose is tons of vanilla bourbon, with traditional milk and dark chocolate malty imperial stout. The flavor is really more focused on the bourbon, fairly sweet vanilla, fudge brownie, really bourbon forward. The body is full with light carbonation and a long bourbon and brownie finish. Very nice.

Bottle shared. Black with an amazing dark brown but fairly short lived head. Aroma of huge bourbon and vanilla upfront with roast, chocolate, oak barrel and booze. Flavour is heavy sweet and light bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

(Bouteille): Une version définitivement plus vanillée mais un peu moins riche. Le bourbon peinture bien le palais également.

bottle shared by a friend. original 2014 batch. poured a deep black colour with a slight mocha coloured ring on top. nose is still hit with a nice sweet vanilla dose. sweet bakers chocolate, roasted malts, cacao, light bourbon, all sorts of sweet sticky belgium chocolate. really incredible on the nose. taste is sweet vanilla, dark sweet chocolates, pralines. vanilla ice cream. more vanilla as it starts to warm. all rounded with a perfect balance of bourbon barrel. really an incredible world class stout. but i have to say that the regular bourbon ANTEAD is allready perfect on it’s own.

Poured a dark brown with a beige head. Almost the same as the regular, a bit thin and muddled, but vanilla does give an added sweetness which is appreciated.

Bottle shared at Gaucho thanks to Rob. Pours a dark brown black with a slight brown head that quickly fades. Aromas of vanilla pound cake, chocolate fudge. Aroma reminds me of vanilla rye but slightly subdued. Taste is semi sweet. Body is a tad thin for what I was expecting.
