COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Night To End All Dawns began life as an imperial stout and was transformed into a massive dark ale during 15 months spent in bourbon barrels. The extended aging allowed seasonal temperature fluctuations in the barrels to draw bold flavors from the oak that can only develop with time. The heat of the bourbon gave way to a subtle caramel sweetness, and the bold, sharp edges of the roasted malt mellowed and married with notes of vanilla and oak. Belgian Candi Sugar in the kettle created a layer of dark fruit complexity and a dry finish.

Bottle shared by madbeerbaron. Thanks. This is a super dark beer. Loads of coffee and chocolate with vanilla and a bunch of oaky bourbon. A little burnt chocolate cake and decent alcohol heat. Awesome.

EBF 2015. Une superbe bière presque noire. Un nez tout comme une bouche riche, savoureuse, du chocolat fondu, de la vanille. Une finale avec un alcool doux. Le genre de monstre que j’aime car il garde une certaine fraicheur.

Bottle thanks to Dmac shared at Anchorage Feb ’15 Tasting: Poured a thick motor oil black with brown head. Aroma is sweet roast with vanilla notes. Follows into the taste with nice sweet sugary fermented fruit, alcohol, vanilla, and bourbon bite.

Moyen corps, bulles suffisantes, texture douce. Finale un peu chaude, peut-être même poivrée. Poids lourd.

Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. It poured a black color with a tan head. The aroma was of brown sugar, molasses, some roast and a touch of warmth. The taste was similar with roastiness and a sugary finish. Nice.

From notes. This was shared at a tasting put on by @mikem409 on November 7. I brought this one to the party, and hot damn! 750 mL bottle. The pour is like used motor oil. Black, viscous, just beautiful. There is a dark tan head that stays thin, and finally falls to a thin film. The aroma is like a chocolate fudge brownie. There is some great chocolate and some wonderful vanilla and molasses. There is some light maple syrup on the back end that is incredible. The flavor is huge on chocolate and fudge with a more prominent maple syrup and vanilla. There is a little barrel here, but the other flavors are just incredible. The mouth feel is really thick and chewy, with a soft carbonation and a great lingeringly coating feeling. Just incredible. The aftertaste has a little booze to it, but very minimal. It’s incredible for my first ever Kane beer!

Sampled at esbls. So dark. Vanilla and huge hops in the aroma. Complex. First sip is that with alcohol in the exhale. Wood and bourbon with grain and yeast. Dark fruit. Quite good.
