COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tidal Series.
Cloud Cover is inspired by the rustic ales of old world Belgium and is meant to be dry and refreshing yet still full of complexity. It honors the farmhouse brewing tradition while incorporating modern Sorachi Ace hops – a varietal not available a hundred years ago, but a perfect complement to the style. Saison yeast ferments a malt bill of imported pilsner, red wheat, and rye for subtle notes of earthy, peppery spice. Both sweet and Curacao orange peel in the boil make for bright citrus flavors and we add touch of coriander in tribute to traditional witbiers. The bold lemon flavors and aromas of the Sorachi hops add a new dimension. Light in body, dry and refreshing, Cloud Cover is the perfect match for outdoor dining or any activity as the days get longer and warmer.

Draft. Hazy gold with a white head. Nose is yeasty with lots of bright citrus. Taste follows suit with a strong wheaty finish. Medium mouthfeel. Solid example of the style, perhaps a bit unexciting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brewery draft. Bright candied lemon color with a white head. Lemongrass, honey, mint, yeast, bitter, pear, apple. Light crisp palate with a bit of a harsh aftertaste. -- something seemed to be missing in the body and taste. Pretty good but I wouldn’t get this one again.

satisfying as a less spicy witbier or a simple wheat-heavy saison. decent bitterness on the back but up front it leaves a bit to be desired. still, good clean beer.

On tap at Cloverleaf Tavern, Caldwell NJ. Pours a brownish gold with a thin foamy tan head. A solid belgian style beer. Attack is subtle and belgian spicy, with some fruit and malty sweetness. Finish is darker fruity.

Draft at Blue Monkey, my friend ordered head high and we got this, we’ll give it a whirl for free I reckon. Notes of bready malt, lemon, Belgian yeast, orange peel and grain. Thin body with a tart finish. Average witbier which isn’t saying much.

Thin palate like a nice summery wheat beer ahold be. Nice light citrus notes. A little to close to a buds lite lime for me.

Slightly herbaceous quality to the aroma is well balanced. Nice citrus flavor with a slightly bready quality. Super refreshing. Great wit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
