3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Unos.
Appearance: Murky chestnut body with a dense tan head.
Aroma: Sweet and complex aroma. Powdered cocoa, toffee, brown sugar and generic malt sweetness. Aroma is a bit weak but smells great.
Taste: Light malty intro builds to prominent cocoa with burnt brown sugar accenting it. Finish is dry with bittersweet bakers cocoa.
Palate: Full-bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: Great beer, but after a few sips it becomes dull. Solid brown ale I would order again though.

Growler from Blend Bar in Hamilton, NJ. Translucent dark brown color with a small creamy beige head. Rich cocoa malt aroma with nutty overtones. Upfront, earthy toasted hazelnut maltiness. Yes, you can taste the oats. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. There is a nice influx of resiny hops in the finish. Long dry aftertaste. Quite a nice Brown Ale. Very flavorful and drinkable

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From memory from yesterday at molly maguires rumson -- on tap. Poured very dark for a brown ale. Aromas of caramel and roasted malts. The taste was a little bitter to start with a malt balance, a little chocolate and dark dry fruits. The palate was medium body but on the full side. Overall a nice solid brown ale.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a medium dark brown with lighter highlights. Lots of light coming rough. Nice big white head. The aroma is sweet and chocolatey with some caramel mixed in. On the palate, the beer is pretty sweet with a touch of roasty astringency for balance. What it lacks in complexity, it makes up for in drinkability in spades.
