Head High is our interpretation of an American-style India Pale Ale (IPA). This beer is all about the hops; we use a blend of five different varieties all grown in the Pacific Northwest. A small charge of Chinook and Columbus early in the boil adds a smooth bitterness. A majority of the hops are then added late in the kettle or post-fermentation to produce a beer that is heavy on hop flavor and aroma. The combination of Cascade, Centennial, Citra and Columbus give Head High a noticeable grapefruit flavor with aromas of citrus, tropical fruits and pine. Our house American ale yeast ferments to a dry finish that accentuates the use of imported Pilsner and lightly kilned crystal malt resulting in Head High’s straw color and crisp flavor.

Lightly hazy orange-colored body, medium sized white head, and soapy lacing. Orange and grapefruit ring, pine, light grass, light pale malts. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, semi-dry, assertive bitterness.

On tap. Deep golden almost orange color. No lacing. Light crisp palate. Fruity and slightly bitter with a stronger pine presence in finish. Solid but not my thing when it comes ipas.

Tasted from draft. Pours a murky orange with white head. Nice citrus aroma of grapefruit, orange, lemon. Taste is a nice clean citrus bitterness. Moderate bitterness with a caramel and toffee mild sweetness to balance. Flavors of grapefruit, lemon, orange, mango and a little pine of pine. Excellent IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

32oz Crower...Grassy murky dankness. Hoppy throughout with a malty crisp finish. Citrus and pine nose. Very delicious and glad I bought more to share. Cheers!

This poured a bright orange with a white head. Aroma was of dank oranges and grass. Flavor similar, medium bitterness, good, not great.

Growler thanks to dmac. Poured into my big boy mug. Aroma is citrus zest and pith. Cloudy orange pour. Large white head. Taste is moderately bitter with a pithiness and rind like quality, but not over bearing. Hop flavor is lemon, orange, and a touch of pine, classic american C hops without any tropical or dankiness really. Solid and enjoyable. A bit too carbonated to make is sessionable though.

Growler shared thanks to beerman6686. Pours a cloudy orangey yellow with a white head. Aromas of tangerine and pine. Some lemon. Taste is medium bitterness with a metallic aftertaste. Doesn’t finish soft like some of the newer IPAs. Starts the same though. Light body and medium carb.
