COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Three Hundred Sixty-Five was created to commemorate our first 365 days. This beer is a blend of two beers brewed almost a year apart. The first part, an Imperial Stout, was brewed during our first month in 2011 and aged quietly in bourbon oak barrels for the following twelve months. The second, a Belgian-Style Quadrupel with Chocolate Rye, was brewed almost a year later in August of 2012. This beer is the culmination of our first year’s work and best represents our philosophy as a brewery. 365 is conditioned in the bottle using champagne yeast and, stored properly, should age well. Enjoy now or in the future.

Bottle. Very dark brown/black with a small tan head. Aroma of faint yeast, roasted malts and chocolate. Flavor is brown sugar, faint roast, and funky yeast. Medium bodied, a bit over-carbonated.

750ml bottle. Pours a deep dark brown color with a huge tan head. Very carbonated. Aroma of candied sugar, raisin, fig, alcohol, and slight vanilla. Taste basically follows the nose. Starts very sweet with lots of dark fruit, candied sugar, red grape, and finishes with a slight roasted coffee bitterness.

As other have mentioned, a real cork rocket. Huge carbonation of several inches and does not diminish quickly. Excellent carbonation produces a thin sheen of fine bubbles for the duration of the drink. Rich chocolaty aroma with some grapes, alcohol, roasted grains and some burnt sugar. Color is a very dark brown. Wow, the flavor of the brew is so smooth and rich. Strong alcohol presence but the massive flavor mellows it out quite a bit. Lots of grapes and prunes, chocolate malts, toffee and some dough. Don’t really notice the barrel aging portion of the brew. Finishes a tad pasty malts but very smooth with a hot finish. I really like this brew and I think that this is one that will age masterfully. Wish I had a few more to lay down for a year or two!

Seems to be awesome for one specific purpose - providing some of the flavors that the depth and ’thump’ of a real quad or BCBS would provide. My first mistake was not reading ratings about it being a cork rocket. With the final twist of the cage, I was grateful it wasn’t pointing at my face or I’d be blind in one eye. It’s annoyingly carbonated, both in the pour and the body. However, once in my snifter, I swirled out most of the bubbles in order to get to the real flavors. I found the nose to be delightfully wine/grape oriented, with no hint of it being 11.25% ABV. You could tell it had a lot of quad to its base, but it was a thinned-out version of one with none of the usual complexity. It goes down easy, but once you’ve swallowed it ... wait for it ... there’s that warming bourbon burn left behind. I personally found it to be good, not great, but my wife absolutely loved it as someone who likes those flavors but is put off by more than about 2 ozs of a BCBS-class beer.

Way over-carbonated. Smells dry and spicy. Hops + dark malts on the palate; not particularly tasty. I hear lots of great things about Kane but continue to be unimpressed.

I didn’t really dig this one, a little unbalanced, and way over carbonated for a quad. Sweet, fruity, but lacking the complexity I’m looking for in a quad...and WAY too many bubbles!

Bottle at jtclockwork’s place for a tasting. Pours a slightly hazed deep black with a huge tan head that eventually settles down a bit. Big chocolate on the nose, warm yeast and candi sugar, brown sugar, cookies. Warm and bourbony. Chocolate and cocoa. Roast and more cocoa and warm belgian yeast. Tasty stuff.

Bottle shared at tasting at my house. Pours very dark brown/black with tan head. Nose and taste of grape, Belgian cookie, fig, oak, roast chocolate malt, vanilla, butterscotch and raisin/plum. Medium body. Slight booziness.

Bottle. The pour was full of carbonation. The aroma is almost more sour than anything. The taste is full of carbonation. Some real funk to it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
