Pours dark amber, no head. Aroma of citrus hops, pine, some red apple. Flavor is malty, caramel, bitter, orange peel, some yeast, and maybe some wood flavors. Great beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly lasting.
Body is medium amber.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin).
Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation.
Very simple aroma, but no off notes. Nicely balanced in the mouth for the style, and again quite clean. Not very exciting or different, but kudos for the clean brewing...no diacetyl, huskiness, doughiness, or other unpleasant characters here...which is more than most Colorado breweries can claim.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ home picked up at Supermarket Foco. Pours a clear burnt orange appearance with a nice cream colored head. Fairly dank and spicy hoppy, light toffee, slight espresso, toasted malty aroma. Cracker, a bit chewy malty, caramel, slightly burnt flavor with fairly spicy, fresh hops but not overly bitter. Not bad.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap @ brewery. Clear brilliant copper, with a small tight cap. Aroma has some lemon rind hoppiness with a slight perfumy tone. Its flavor is pretty bright hoppy on the start, with decent bitterness and a little peppery. But then in the middle it gets really malty with toffee and cereal grains. So in short, it starts American, ends British. Nice pale!

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draught at the brewpub. Nice copper with off-white fading head. Aroma of sweet malt is nice. Lots of nice bitterness on the hops. Flora hints are well put together for this full mouthfeel that stays on the tongue for a long time.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
on tap 7/20/10.
coppery brownish amber with a white head.
lots of grapefruit and citrus pith on the nose mixed with some husk notes, caramel, spice and grass.
the flavor is lighter on the grain husk character but otherwise the same as the aroma. it is quite dry and spicy with a tingly hop finish.
medium bodied, crisp and very easily sessionable. 7/4/7/4/15/3.7

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled on 9/11/2010 at the brewpub. This American Pale Ale pours a medium amber color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet, a touch of grapefruit and citrusy hops. A medium bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Nice carbonation. Medium bitterness. Good balance. The hoppiness just sort of lingers in the background on this one. Noticeable but not overpowering. Nice solid beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.
