Rich amber in color with a distinctive hoppy characteristic, the Standing Wave Pale Ale is brewed in a traditional English style with Crystal malts and a select variety of American hops. Its complex malty flavor, crisp hop balance and inviting aroma make sipping this ale a real pleasure for the senses.

Rich in malts with a well balanced hop character that lives up to the understated intent of this pale ale. Pours a nice amber bordering on straw with a foamy pale head. Nose is more sweet malt true to the pour. Hop tail has little bite but finishes smooth. A good, drinkable brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from beer of the month club Pours lite amber/copper hue with a soapy big bubble off white head with some sparse lacing. nose is earthy, lots of toasted malt husks, Flavors exhibit this malt profile with a touch of earthy leaffy hops. really not an APA at all, more akin to a brit pale if you ask me. pretty decent body with some slickness to it. finish has lingering earthy tones and carmel/toasted malt profiles. even though im only giving this a 3, i think its a decent beer however, it could use some hops-not lots, but just some.

Amber color with a slight haze, one-finger head that dissipated to a strong film and left very nice lace. Bready malt aromas followed quickly by pine and grass hop highlights. Flavor profile is similar, as bready weetness supports a bitterness that intensifies as the glass empties. Medium body and carbonation, nice creamy smooth mouthfeel, and a pleasantly balanced finish.
