Aroma and flavor show caramel, toffee, and a hint of dark fruit. This one is a bit past its prime...nothing bright...everything a bit muddled and indistinguishable. Medium mouthfeel and definitely no indication of the ABV. Glad I had a chance to try it.

picked this oddity up at the brewery and shared it with the crew 7/29/10.
1L swing top four year barley wine... cool.
coppery colored with a thin tannish off white head.
it smells and tastes like it was four years old then bottled... kinda stale and muted, sweet malts, grass, some faint citrus, a hand full of wort, brown sugar and some golden raisin-like fruitiness. medium bodied, slick and smooth.
it is well past it glory days but it is still pretty tasty.6/3/6/3/13+

Shared by hellbilly. Dark amber-red pour with minimal foamy head. Aroma of caramel malt, muted citrus hops, brown sugar. Sweet flavor with just a hint of hops.

1 liter swingtop shared by Josh. Pours hazy amber with a thin off-white head. The nose is brown sugar, molasses, dried fruit and alcohol. The taste is caramel, citrus and fruit. Medium bodied. Good stuff. Thanks Josh!

Hellbilly brings it! Reddish pour. Honey and caramel, very old hop pellets, musty aroma. Flavor is lightly sweet, artificial sweetener. Not much of a barleywine any more.

(Hand bottle) Pours a clear deep amber body with a small cream head. Aroma of bread, cherry, caramel, and toffee. Flavor of grass, herbs, caramel malt, raisins, and candy. Sweet maltiness with bitter finish.
