The “Landbier” is the premium product of the small Austrian brewery in a valuable handle catch bottle. It is a successful renaissance of a traditional beer-type: malty-aromatic yet light hoppy. Only the finest ingredients are used in its production. Years of experience, constant quality checks and a time consuming brewing method guarantee the beer’s unmistakable flavor. Lagering Time: 66 days in a stone cellar Kapsreiter Landbier is brewed in strict accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law.

This beer screams average in every way. Light gold pour with an extremely thin white head. Aroma is light and uninteresting. The taste is pretty bland. it’s light and drinkable but just too forgettable!

Shared from a tall swing-top bottle from Local Harvest into a Willybecher glass. It poured a brilliant golden color with slight chill haze, lasting white foam and excellent lace. Flavors of marshmallowy pilsner malt, very smooth noble hops bitterness, faint black pepper likely from a combination of Saaz and lager yeast. Light body, average carbonation, pleasantly chalky/mineral water mouthfeel, dry but with a faintly lingering bittersweet aftertaste. An excellent Austrian lager and classic example of the Dortmunder/Helles style.
