Naturtrüb. Eingetragene Schutzmarke. Bernsteinfarben.

50cl flip-top bottle at Klaus, Tallinn. Pours hazy amber with a large, off-white head. Mild fruity aroma with ripe bananas, wheat, yeast and hints of cloves. Moderate to medium sweet with mild fruity flavours and a light acidity. Not the tastiest and most flavourful hefeweizen, but refreshing enough.

Swing top bottle. Pours a hazy orange body with a medium head (for a wheat beer). Wheaty aroma with yeast and bready malts. Clean but no spiciness. OK mouthfeel and carbonation. Taste is mostly yeasty but the wheatiness keeps it light and refreshing. A bit too yeasty finish, otherwise quite good.

This is very good;I guess this Kellerweizen shows why after so many years I keep trying new beers,I get beautiful surprises like this. Will definitely keep an eye out for this style in the future.Only negative,it finishes a little watery.

Apr ’15. A 0.5l fliptop bottle poured hazy dirty golden body with medium sized head. Very nice and strong aroma, bubblegum, banana, honey and spices. Lightly sweet and very lightly sour flavor, smooth, milky and chalky on palate as a Weizen should be. Quite wide palette of estery wheat flavors with banana probably being the most dominant. Finish was also smooth, long and slightly astringent spicy. All in all, an interesting and a very nice Hefeweizen.

Gutes Weizen. Ausgewählt wegen dem tollen Etikett. Im Geschmack und Aroma ein wenig Banane, allerdings nicht übermäßig viel. Dazu Viel Getreide, süßes Malz, Brot. Lecker

Kapuziner Kellerweizen 5.1% It pours an opaque amber gold with a dense light beige head of foam. The nose is sweet bubblegum and bready wheat. Medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel. The taste is sweet, grainy, a bit biscuity and bubblegum but also gives a somewhat watery feeling and gives hints of cotton candy in the aftertaste. I’m not sure what a Kellerweizen should be like but I guess it is a cellared weizen of some kind. Kind of average but 500 yen for 500ml isn’t a bad price.

Swingtop bottle 50cl. Hazy medium amber, a lot of tiny bubbles, large frothy white to off-white head, good retention, fair lacing; aroma is fruity, wheat, banana, fruit candies, yeast; taste is medium sweet, light malty touch, fruity, yeasty, average duration; medium body, watery texture, average carbonation, mild sweetish aftertaste, clove notes, abrupt finish; simply pleasant fresh Weizen.
