Great beer for a non-alcoholic beer. Great notes of wheat malt, and yeasty and quite refreshing.

50cl swingtop bottle from Meny Alna. Pours hazy brownish golden with a lasting white head. Mild wheaty and fruity aroma with notes of banana, hints of citrus and yeast. Moderate sweet and quite citric. Watery, but somewhat refreshing. Fair enough.

Piwo koloru pomarańczowego z widocznym drożdżowym zmętnieniem i ładną, obfitą pianą. W aromacie czuć banany, zboże i odrobinę słodyczy.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Cloudy pale orange in colour, with an off white head. Aroma of wheat and some fruit notes. Not had many non alcohol beers over the years but this was certainly the most drinkable of those I have had.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Wow. Simply wow. I can’t find any traces of the usual dull, worty, nauseating, non-alcoholic elements in the aroma of this one. Quite the opposite, the aroma is strong, crisp and acidic with lovely yeasty notes, spices, banana and citrus. This smells like a hefeweizen! It doesn’t look good, though, it’s got a quite dark, cloudy and dirty-looking orange body, and a bit too small off-white head that leaves virtually no lacing on the glass. The mouthfeel is also rather lousy, it’s extremely light and watery. The taste however is nice, it’s light to moderate sweet with hints of bitterness in the short finish. The flavours are impressive, again without any hints of the usual non-alcoholic off-flavours. I get sweet banana caramel, spices, yeast and a general fruitiness. Impressive stuff. For a non-alcoholic beer, that is.

Pale nice color. White fine foam. Banana and wheat aroma. Taste a bit metallic, general low on taste. Maybe little low on carbonation. It is a average good non-alcoholic beer.

500 ml swingtop bottle, from the n/a shelf at Vinmonopolet Verksgaten, Stavanger. Cloudy honey-coloured beer, large white head. Very moderate but not unpleasant aroma of cloves and heather honey. The mouthfeel is thin and watery, of course, but the beer is not too sweet, and has some subdued notes of the typical hefeweizen elements (cloves, banana and citrus). Furthermore, it has NOT much of the typical and sickly n/a beer characteristics (over-cooked vegetables, maize baby porridge). Hell, I could actually drink this as a refreshment, when I have to drive. One of the "better" (= least miserable) n/a beers i’ve had.
