Commercial Description:
The most refreshing beer in the world. Malted wheat and special yeast give Kapuziner Weissbier its light touch and distinctive taste - a yeasty tang offset by a solid malt body and a delightful tropical fruitiness. Unfiltered yeast lends a hazy, seductive look.

Bottle, from Metro Kolding. A muddy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is nice with banana, but it feels a little uncomplex. Flavour is not as sweet as other hefes, it has some sourness or tartness as well. But there is naturally some sweetness and wheatyness - not much bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy and fine.

Kapuziner Weissbeer is one of my favorite beers. It has a creamy texture and is very smooth. Now I know why the monks have a big belly!

Bottle thanks to Sebastian. Pours hazy with a thick, chunky, dense white head. Medium carbonation. Wheaty, malty, nose. Tastes of clove, banana, wheat but not over-the-top. Lighter body for a Weissbier. A good session/summer beer for hot Houston day.

I believe this is the last available and decently rated german hefeweizen I can get ahold of. I can say that i haven’t missed anything. Cloudy gold and a rocky head. Aroma is very lemony and wheaty. Flavor is kind of grainy and bland. The most evident wheat tasting beer i’ve ever had. Doesn’t have nearly enough of the banana and bubblegum esters that i dig in hefeweizens. perhaps this isn’t the freshest beer.

500ml bottle from A-1 To-Go. Murky orange-yellow body with a good inch to inch and a half of off-white head that dissipates slowly. Smells sweet and fruity, like banana, nut, spice. Tastes like banana, nut, and malty sweetness. Rich creamy mouthfeel. Very very drinkable. A fantastic hef. One of the best I’ve had.

Berlin Trip beer No.12. On Draft. Nose - Bananas. Flavour - Bananas. Finish - Bananas. Ok, so this is over-simplifing and being flipent, but I’ve never had such a banana-ery Hefe. It totally over powered all the other flavours that may have been struggling to escape. Nice light body, easy on the palete, looked ok - nice orange body, big fluffy head. One for your Gorilla chums or Bananaman.

500ml bottle: poured orange-yellow with a full white head. Light fruit and yeast aroma. Even some hops. Flavor is full with notes of banana and spice. Smooth and easy drinking. A very good hefeweizen.

Bottled (Thanks DerDoppelbock). Hazy orangeish yellow colour with big creamy, longlasting, head. Aroma is cery strong citrus fruit along with wheat and some yeast. Flavour is citrus fruit, wheat and some spices. The aftertaste is very bigtime wheat. Refreshing and not too sweet. Good one!
