BustedFlat (552), Edina, Minnesota, USA Apr 13, 2007 Poured from a 500ml bottle into a weizen glass, murky golden with a big head as one would expect. Aroma was strong with notes of citrus, clove yeast and lemon. The taste was more sublte than the smell, with banana and a citrus tang and a hint of spice. Not bad, but lags behind a number of other German hefe’s such as Ayinger, Weihenstephaner and Paulaner. LinusStick (1830), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 6, 2007 A middle of the road hefe. Everything about the beer is average. The light gold color, the wheaty aroma and the citrus tang and banana taste. This beer almost tastes like a "banana lambic". Nice but not incredible. Cajun (144), New Iberia, Louisiana, USA Mar 30, 2007 Bottle - hazy golden with white head. Aroma of bananas and cloves. Sweet malted wheat, hint of lemons... sour/bitter finish. valpoaj (362), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA Mar 26, 2007 Rapidly rising, then rapidly dissipating white head over a standard Hefe body. Aroma is somewhat subtle...very light citrus scents - nothing overpowering! Flavor is also somewhat light and airy...a very easy drink! From the pleasant, yet not strong citrus flavor, hints of lemon and banana are evident; somewhat unique for a Hefe. Only qualm is that the drink was somewhat watery on the palate and for the aftertaste. Although nothing overly special, this is a great drink when you’re just looking for a good, easy drinking beer! Hangover (764), Atlanta, USA Mar 26, 2007 Cloudy orange pour with visible sediment and a thick and creamy white head. Banana and fruity aroma. Creamy and smooth mouthfeel and initially very spicy. Fades to clove and banana and finishes with yeast and bread/dough. Pretty good! rederic (1785), montréal, Quebec, Canada Mar 8, 2007 Hazy honey gold hue, with a frothy white head, yeasty bananaish fruity nose, with some wheat malt notes, ripe apples, pears fruitiness, hint of spiciness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, fruity, wheat malt character, of ripe apples, bananas, pears fruitiness, spicy cinnamon note, hint of clove, rounded mouthfeel, leading towards a wheaty, mild hop bittering finish. Very characteristic hefe look and aroma. Hazy golden with a foamy white head and a strong wheaty and yeasty/ sweetfruity aroma. Flavor is of course wheat sweet, but also lemon like sour, more sour than im used to from a hefe. But overall a solid brew. Borup (1345), Albertslund, Denmark Feb 28, 2007 Bottle. Hazy orange colour with a huge white head. Aroma and flavour of yeat, banana, malt and citrus.
