Aroma was strong with notes of citrus, clove yeast and lemon. The taste was more sublte than the smell, with banana and a citrus tang and a hint of spice. Not bad, but lags behind a number of other German hefe’s such as Ayinger, Weihenstephaner and Paulaner. LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 6, 2007 A middle of the road hefe. Everything about the beer is average. The light gold color, the wheaty aroma and the citrus tang and banana taste. This beer almost tastes like a "banana lambic". Nice but not incredible. Cajun (144), New Iberia, Louisiana, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Mar 26, 2007 Rapidly rising, then rapidly dissipating white head over a standard Hefe body. Aroma is somewhat subtle...very light citrus scents - nothing overpowering! Flavor is also somewhat light and airy...a very easy drink! From the pleasant, yet not strong citrus flavor, hints of lemon and banana are evident; somewhat unique for a Hefe. Only qualm is that the drink was somewhat watery on the palate and for the aftertaste. Although nothing overly special, this is a great drink when you’re just looking for a good, easy drinking beer! Banana and fruity aroma. Creamy and smooth mouthfeel and initially very spicy. Fades to clove and banana and finishes with yeast and bread/dough. Pretty good! rederic (1807), montréal, Quebec, Canada

Very characteristic hefe look and aroma. Hazy golden with a foamy white head and a strong wheaty and yeasty/ sweetfruity aroma. Flavor is of course wheat sweet, but also lemon like sour, more sour than im used to from a hefe. But overall a solid brew.
