faroeviking (6024), Republica Vikingo de las, Faroe Islands Feb 9, 2007 Bottle. Weissbier mit Feiner Hefe. Hazy golden with a nice big mostly lasting foamy white head. Aroma of yeast, banana and citrus. Flavour of citrus and sweet banana with yeast and some bready maltiness. Citrus yeasty finish. IMtheOptimator (1161), Bethel, Connecticut, USA Feb 3, 2007 Bottle on sale at HalfTime Beverage. Poured a cloudy effervescent golden with a large frothy white head. Aroma of sweet toffee, banana, butterscotch, and a bit of bubble gum. Flavor is rather light and a little bland, with notes of banana, toffee, a bit of hop grassiness. Finishes lightly dry and rather flavorlessly. Decent enough with no major flaws, but could stand to be crisper with a richer flavor. BeerVirgin72 (778), Pataskala, Ohio, USA Feb 3, 2007 Poured from bottle. Cloudy golden orange color, nice foamy head that lasted a bit, no lacing that I could see...The aroma was very nice, citrus and bananas...The flavor was extremly mild and a tad disappointing for me. Very drinkable beer, all and all, but not one single flavor jumped out at me on this one. A bit of a let down, really... SSSteve (2049), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jan 14, 2007 very cloudy gold with a medium sized white head. banana, apple, pear aroma. flavors of banana, and grain. not as many spices as expected. a very standard, well made german hefe, but no surprises. RedHaze (370), Where the hell am I?, Nebraska, USA Jan 14, 2007
Pours a golden orange with a two finger head that leaves behind a thick coating of lace. I really like the appearance of Hefe-Weizens
Smell; bits of orange peel, ripe bananas, cloves with a very solid caramel malt presence.
Taste; sweet honey like flavor upfront, followed by oranges bananas and cloves. There’s a nice bread dough and caramel malt backbone, with just some hints of black pepper. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, and very drinkable. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Dec 30, 2006 50 cl bottle. Orange colour with a little fine white head. Yeasty aroma with hints of bread-like. Very fruity flavour with notes of yeast and little of wheat. taunusmies (276), Finland Dec 21, 2006 Pours nicely hazy and wheaty yellow, just like weissbier should. Aroma is earthy with a hint of yeast. Mouthfeel is balanced and rounded. Wheaty and a bit sweet taste. Tmoney99 (4661), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Dec 8, 2006 Bottle. Poured an hazy orange color with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with good lacing. Moderate sour citrus clove aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture.
