COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The most refreshing beer in the world. Malted wheat and special yeast give Kapuziner Weissbier its light touch and distinctive taste - a yeasty tang offset by a solid malt body and a delightful tropical fruitiness. Unfiltered yeast lends a hazy, seductive look.

Bottle 0,5 litre, this is one fine Weiss beer, when you open it, it pops a sound like a champagne which is nice, it pours a nice colour and a fine white head, with a good smell off wheat, even thou I only give it 7 in taste, it is still one if the better Weiss beers on the market, I think it have a strange taste in the beginning (first 2-5 seconds) but after that it just gets better and better, thumps up from me.

Pours a cloudy orange with a big even head, banana and a little orange on the nose, dry-sweet and yeasty palate becomes fruity with light spice and bread notes.

Puro trigo, sem filtragem e cor forte. Sabor fermentado, de pão (trigo). Não é frutada como a Edelweiss, essa é puro trigo forte.

0,5L bottle, BB 14.03.14. The bottle opened with bang (like champagne). I’m not sure what’s going on with this bottle, but this doesn’t seem right. Pours hazy amber with huge white head. The head stays. Aroma: boiled potatoes, wheat, banana and perfumy notes in the background. Taste: very sweet, wheat, watery, banana, lemon. Overall: not really good weizen. I would like to try fresher bottle to see if the problems are caused by wrong storage or close BB.

pours hazy pale golden with a tall creamy white head, good retention and lacing. bananas and yeasty-plenty, fruitiness - dusty peaches, minerals, slightly earthy, dry herbal grassiness, lean pale maltiness, wheat, hint of tartness. average carbonation, light body - slightly watery, dry herbal-grassy finish. solid and classic hefe.

The head could have some more sustain than it has. Strongly (bready)malty and yeasty aroma, with some notes of overripe bananas and lemon thrown in. Very little clove in the nose. Malty-fruity taste with a clovey finish, almost non-bitter. Not really tart but elusively sweetish. Good one!

We ate sauerkraut with strasbourg sausages with it. Not bad but the taste is quite light I must say. Nevertheless it is a quite pleasant drink. I’ll keep on trying other weissbiers.
