The most refreshing beer in the world. Malted wheat and special yeast give Kapuziner Weissbier its light touch and distinctive taste - a yeasty tang offset by a solid malt body and a delightful tropical fruitiness. Unfiltered yeast lends a hazy, seductive look.

16 oz. grolsch style flip top bottle. Aroma is typical of a good hefeweizen - bananas and cloves. Very drinkable - reminds me of another very good hefeweizen - Weihenstephaner.

bottle @Jungle Jim’s / Eastgate OH --- Hazy dark golden amber with a 4" ivory head that very slowly drops to 1", streaks of lace. Taste is malt and wheat that has yeast and light tropical fruit thrown in the mix that turns only slightly bitter as it moves through a fairly short finish. The beer is drinkable, but "the most refreshing..." is a bit of a stretch.

Hm, this one is quite dry for a German Weizenbier. It is still far away from being truely bitter though. It’s fruity but less ’light and fizzy’ than other Weizens. It seems heavier but is still somehow watery. Seems to be a contradiction in itself - but it’s like this. But you’ll find at least the typical banana taste - green banana , though :-) It’s not that it’s a bad beer - but there are better Weizens on the market. And if you’re looking for this fresh summer thirst quencher - this one seems less adapted for this purpose.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2015 Appearance of lemon juice with a huge white head. Aroma is lemon, banana, marzipan. Sweet taste, with some sourness and lots of spice in the finish. Interesting.

Very tasty beer with a bit of an unusual flavor. Unlike any Weissbier I’ve had previously.

On tap. Pours a hazy copper color with a big fluffy head that fades slowly to ample lacing.Having it served in the proper glass gives it extra points. Aroma of sweet malt, banana, fruity, and a nice touch of yeast. Taste of sweet malt, banana, fruit, and yeast. Moderate bitterness and bit of lingering yeast. Medium body and has a nice flair. Enjoyable beer, nice take on the style.
