Commercial Description:
The most refreshing beer in the world. Malted wheat and special yeast give Kapuziner Weissbier its light touch and distinctive taste - a yeasty tang offset by a solid malt body and a delightful tropical fruitiness. Unfiltered yeast lends a hazy, seductive look.

Bottle 0.5 l. Hazy yellow, thick white had. Yeasty, wheaty, slightly citric and fresh nose. Not very sweet. Flavor is big on wheat and yeast, slightly fruity with a bit of citric touch and a bitterish aftertaste. Very good.

50 cl bottle poured into my cool-as-hell Paulaner Weizen glass. Cloudy amber/orange color with a billowy moussy head. Aromas of banana, hay, bread, pear, citrus and dusty hops. Basic flavor of off- sweet quickbread malts with some lemony tartness throughout, as well as some grassy hops. However, the overall underlying flavor seems old and stale, with some salty/brothy vegemite notes coming through. Very disappointing. Could be an old bottle maybe.

Bottle from Morrisons, this looks the biz, hazy orange with a thick rocky white head, there is a nice bead of tiny bubbles. VERY light on the nose, palate and flavour, lacks on all of those, there is a slight hint of spice and banana, but thats it, it finishes very quickly. a fine looking beer that let me down on all other criteria.

Poured from bottle. Cloudy golden orange color, nice foamy head that lasted a bit, no lacing that I could see...The aroma was very nice, citrus and bananas...The flavor was extremly mild and a tad disappointing for me. Very drinkable beer, all and all, but not one single flavor jumped out at me on this one. A bit of a let down, really...

Let's face it...this is a pretty ugly beer. The cloudiness leads it to an almost dishwater brown with a large white head. But, at the same time, this leads me to believe there are lots of little goodies in the beer, and so the appearance becomes less offensive. The nose here is very yeasty...pretty nice. Flavor is crisp and seems to have an almost bitter fruit note to it.

This wheat was a bit too tangy for my taste. A nice clarity with nice head. Mildly sweet with sweet malty aroma, not too much banana clove present

6/30/07 On draught at the Seattle International Beerfest. Aroma is a wide malt blend of sweetness, wheat and sourness. Appearance is a cloudy, wheaty, yellow with a medium white head. Flavor is sweet, wheaty malt with low hop flavor. Mouthfeel is light bodied, crisp, with a clean finish. Overall, a very easy drinking weissbier with no objectionable standouts to complain about.

This one pours a cloudy golden yellow color with a big white head that lingers. Strong aroma of cloves, yeast, and a touch of banana. The flavor is slightly malty with a good strong yeasty fruitiness and a slightly spicy finish. Smooth, crisp, and refreshing.
