3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Una buona ipa, dal gusto leggermente fruttato e una consistente base maltata in buon equilibrio con la luppolatura, non troppo amara.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
60cl bottle from a market in SP, 7.5%, 14.55 R$ (5€).
Copper color, clear, with a magnificent off-white head. Roasted malts on the nose.
Aroma has an overwhelming amout of caramel malt, has a "brazilian" feel i found also in the other Karavelle Ales, dough with a fruity overtone of maybe plum and apricot, brown sugar, tofee, syrup, caramel, butter, quite tasty. Taste is well balanced from a syrupy sweetness and bittering hops, still remaining on the sugary side. Has the characteristic finish of dunkels, lingering roasted malts, with a good amount of bittering hops. Feels yeasty, also if clear. Medium to full bodied, Sticky finish with fuel notes, thick creamy texture, low carbonation.
This is lacking the typical grapefruit sourness and the aromatic hops smash, so i don’t consider this as an IPA. But it’s a good ale, nonetheless.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma levíssimo de IPA, bem fraquinho. Aparência característica. Sabor levemente amargo, mais para uma strong ale do que IPA. Paladar com amargor balanceado. No geral, interessante.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Aroma, sabor y paladar en la medida justa del estilo. Caramelo evidente y amargor noble. Nota alta para esta joya.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
from Mondial de la Bière 2013, Mulhouse - dark and clear amber beer with a poor head retention; aroma of quince marmalade, chewy and a bit sticky palate; some malt sweetness and a solid bitterness; decently dry and long finish of caramel and red fruity hops - robust and accurate

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear light copper/ bronze color with some orange and golden hues and a medim whtie head, nice. Aroma is caramel and a slight toffe with some ok buttery notes. Flavor is of caramel and toffee with a diacetyl note and a weird burnt caramel note/ oxidized. Medium palate, warming. Kind of an oxidized ESB.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Not what you expect from a IPA. Very weak and bland not enough alcohol, average carbonation, bitter finish, light body. The taste is kinda sweet. The appearance is light amber, with clear liquid and minimal head. Will not drink again.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Mild IPA, not much hoppy or bitter. In my opinion it is not a real IPA, but could be good ale.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear red colour with a tall frothy off-white head. Aroma is lightly fruity, caramel with some hops and hints of herbs. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Finish is fruity and hoppy. Not too great and I’m pretty unimpressed at the cost especially when you can get something like Colorado Índica, which is way better, for half the price.
