Merlot Barrel Aged DIPA. Sexy and smooth with legs for days, Bodacious is sure to arouse curiosity. After aging in barrels for several months, the hop aroma recedes slightly, giving way to a rich, velvety malt backbone combined with oak flavors from the barrel. Finally, upon swallowing, a delicate, lingering bitterness remains on the tongue. So enjoy this limited release in a group or in private...

Great floral berry sweet tannic nose.Slightly pink gold with off white head. Nice integration of tannic berry senses into a hoppy beer.

22oz bottle .. . pours a dark amber .. . great foam, sturdy healthy lacing .. . very mild wine barrel, and basically regular rodeo clown .. . save your money and just buy regular RC .. . . for that kind of money you’d think you’d get two testicles, don’t you think?

Bottle. As Bleeng asked: Bodacious? Pours a deep amber/mahogany with a thick off-white head. Nose is a woodsy hay with malt pellets dipped in light orange juice. Flavor is a bready IPA quickly kicked out by massive oak flavors and light orange peel. Decent mouthfeel. I’m biased against malt-forward IPAs but this ain’t bad. I think a little aging (6months) would mellow the flavors enough.

Also known as Bodacious? Pours dark gold with a hint of red. Nice big white fluffy head. Nose is slightly winey, some hops, grassy, musty, malty. Taste has some barrel winey notes, very bitter, hops are somewhat subdued, alcohol is present and standing. Dry and bitter finish. Medium body. Interesting take on a barrel beer. FUN series #1.

Deep amber red pour with thick lingering head. Good bit if lacing. Hop forward aroma. Flavor was sweet off the bat, followed by the floral hop flavor, and finished with alcohol flavors which might have come from the wine. I think this would do real well with a bit more aging. ---Rated via iPhone

On tap at The Hay Merchant. Pours a cloudy amber with a small off white head. The aroma is a fruity malt and floral hops. Medium mouthfeel with a very bitter hop and alcohol present. A decent variation of rodeo clown.
