On tap, poured into a pint glass. The aroma is mellow and mild with notes of bread crust, woody spice, and a light roast with a strenghtening dank herb late. The beer is a rich, oily, clear cola with a big, off-white, foamy head that has a high amount of retention and lace. The taste is a medium high bitter and mellow, medium-light sweet. The oily and creamy texture is complimented by a soft, foamy head. The medium full body is flavored by bread and mild raisin and finishes with burnt grain and spice, some smoke, and a touch of a berry sweetness flourish. There’s a bread notes as well and an undertone of dark chocolate. The aftertaste is lightly sticky and has a strong rye character and bitter grapefruit note; it’s short and mellows quickly turning to bitter wax, then resin clean late.

Clear dark ruby brown with a thin beige head. Big nose of leafy floral hops and earthy sweet roast. Delightful flavor with a sweet backing with a touch of roast and sweet earthy caramel. A fair bit of leafy earthy hops and floral resins like a marvelous ipa, but also with some sweet black roast.

Large bottle kindly provided by a colleague from his Texas vacation. Pours a deep and clear mahogany color with an inch thick, foamy light brown head that leaves a laced layer on the glass. Inviting tropical fruits and faint caramel on the nodse. Mellow bitterness and a surprisingly light body considering the alcohol. Hop aromas are there, pine, lime marmelade and in the finish more roasted notes are added to the bitterness. Pleasant to drink.
