Bottle. Poured a medium brown color with a light off-white head. Aroma is notes of dark malts, some earthy and a little bit of hops. Flavor was dark, roasty malts, some light pine, earth. Tasty.

Thanks to nimbleprop for this guy! Rich brown pour, small frothy head with good lacing. Beautiful dank hop nose with weed and spruce tips, white grapefruit, lemon, loam, earth. Smooth, clean on the palate, but nicely bodied. This is quite good.

From a bomber. No idea how old this is because there's no date! Come on Houston! Dark black with a ton of frothy white head. Mouthfeel is very nice. Dry. Taste isn't very hoppy at all. But good dark malt flavors. Ok but not great. This may be too old. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber to glass in the dark lord line. Really tasty spicy hops with a touch if dark malt. One of the better black IPAs I’ve had recently.

Very dark brown, nice thick tan head with lots of lacing. Very hoppy aroma and flavor. A little coffee and chocolate. Nice bitter finish.

Bottle - Skunky hops and some roast. Jet black with a rich brown head. Light roast with a skunky hoppy note and a decent amount if bitterness. More hop forward than roasty but still nice.

Cask. Darkest amber, almost black, borders opaque. Thin off white head. Bitter. Middle is chocolate malt massaged to a gentle sweetness. Finish jumps in with a strong, but balanced bitterness.

Deep chalky brown with a tan foamy head. Spicy hoppy aroma. Malty body, creamy texture but bitter flavor with roasted malt. Pretty good.

One of my absolute favorite beers. Pours black with a light tan head. It has a hoppy flavor with a mild coffee aftertaste. Flavorful and smooth. I definitely recommend it!

22oz bottle from Zinister. Deep brown color with a minimal head. Nice aroma with grapefruit, more orange citrus, roast coffee, and some chocolate. Wow! Taste is a bit different. More citrus with less malt. Slightly thin.
