COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís a job. And a hazardous one at that. Benefits, you ask. I hardly think so. From the depths of the earth leap flames of destruction. When time is of the essence, the Hellfighter boldly steps in the line of danger. Whether or not heís insane is not important now. Itís with intensity and aggression that the Hellfighter taunts the blaze of almost certain doom. Our Imperial Porter is much the same. At 9.5% ABV and black as oil, Hellfighter Imperial Porter, with roasted coffee and chocolate malt characteristics, finishes what it started. This explosion of flavors will extinguish even a Texas-sized penchant for boldness. Intense and maybe a little insane, drink carefully but drink often. Blaze on!

Bottle shared by ImstilltheGman... Black pour.... mocha head. Nose is a little boozy, oakey, roasted malts, vanilla, chocolate... Taste isnt as boozy as the nose... Just the right amount of oak, vanilla, bourbon. Roasted malts, light chocolate slight bitterness to balance it out. The alcohol is a little warming but not over the top. Medium carbonation, little oily, creamy... easy to drink. Overall: Nice impy strong porter

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a big, lacy, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, some light coffee, chocolate, hints of smokiness, light notes of alcohol, hints of dough, and hints of bitterness. Flavor the same. Average to smoother texture. A decent beer for the style, but could be better.

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a really dark body, more or less black, and topped by a dense, beige head of finger-thick size. Itís roasted and chocolatey on the palate, with some tar and charcoal hints. Cellar notes. Itís faintly warming on the palate, full-bodied and soft, with a pleasant carbonation level. Mostly dry, but thereís some sweetness in the flavor. Roasted malts, chocolate and coffee, and some dried fruit notes. Lasting roasted finish. Sure a nice one, but in a strange way Iím bored by it. Even though itís a quite complex one. 140515

Location: 22 oz bottle from Central Market, 2/12/14, My 3000th American Rating! USA! USA!

Aroma: The nose is roasted malts and chocolate, some spice, earth, and dark fruit
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a lasting head and coating lace
Flavor: The flavor is rich and malty, mostly roast and chocolate, with a little earth and spice
Palate: The body is on the full side, it has a smooth, thick feel, soft carbonation, and a long finish
Overall Impression: Watching the olympics as I drink this, so I had to throw a little national pride. I sure do rate a lot more American craft than anything else. Anyway, this is another really tasty offering from Karbach. This is a bold, flavorful beer.

Very dark black with brown hints. Medium brown head makes it a dark porter. Very tasty full porter with fruity and oaky notes ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beerenberger (1513) - Fischer, Texas, USA - JAN 27, 2014
Aroma of chocolate with some roasted malt notes. An inky-brownish-black pour with a robust tan head and abuntent lacing. Chocolate and roasted malts flavors initially, with coffee bitterness following. The taste, while providing a slightly sweet presence, is overall bitter and very pleasing. Medium-full body and medium carbonation. Smooth round mouthfeel. Overall, full bodied taste that just keeps giving. Well done, Karbach! Will drink again.

Tap at the brewery. Pours a beautiful dark brown, dark khaki head that sticks, very lovely. Aroma is roasted nuts, cocoa, roasted coffee, just great. Thick and creamy, this porter has high specific gravity. Taste is strong roasted malts and an underlying hop presence. Loved this beer.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2014 Dark brown, reddish hues, nearly black. Nose is sweet and malty, darkly roasted but not overbearing. Pleasant, bright, sweet and roasty flavor with roasted characteristics that last.

Bottle from AJ! Very misleading label but a nice beer. Pours dark brown, lots of roasted malt and nut aromas. Solid palate gives way to roast flavors and chocolate
