Pours a slightly hazy golden orange from the can with fluffy off-white head that leaves good lace. Aroma of sweet citrus and zesty earth, like garlic or green pepper. Taste follows, a bit of booze and malt behind it. Interesting hop choices, not bad overall though.

Scent of floral hops with a strong malt backbone and a few citrus notes in the background. Nice burnt orange color with a stark white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Spicy taste that has a good deal of pine hop bitterness up front and some of the malt sweetness in the aftertaste. Sufficiently hoppy, even for the biggest DIPA fan. Average palate, slightly watery. I enjoyed this offering from a brewery that is growing on me.

The beer is a light amber color. Moderately cloudy. The head is white and pretty big. Lots of lacing, good retention. The aroma has a nice mix of hop flavors with a pretty good amount of malt presence. There’s a fairly dank grapefruit and pine resin foundation. Pineapple juice sweetness. Some mango and orange. Caramel tinged malt sugar character. More malt sweetness comes out as the beer warms. Taste has a lot of malt character. Hop flavor is there, but it’s toned down and a bit bland. Medium bitterness. Piney, grapefruity hop flavor. A bit heavy. Caramel malt flavor. Medium body. Not a bad DIPA but it just doesn’t have it in the taste.

Tap at Karbach. Amber pour, light head. Aroma is piney, floral hops. A bit of spice and caramel malts on the nose. Taste is great pine, floral slightly spicy hops. Light caramel sweetness. Well rounded bitterness. Nice medium body, medium carbonation. Great beer. These are good!

Poured from a can dated 04/29/2015. Aroma is balanced between malt and hops. Light caramel and toasted bread with a bit of cracker. Moderate grapefruit and pine resin with a hint of alcohol. Pours a slightly cloudy, copper orange with a medium sized, moderately thick, slightly off white head with decent retention. Medium lacing and small legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with some caramel, toasted bread and crackers. Medium high to high bitterness. Medium low hop character, mostly grapefruit and pine resin. Light alcohol spice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, not a great beer. Balanced malt and hops, but I prefer an unbalanced IPA tilted towards hops.

4 pack from HEB. Straight out the can. Aroma of pine, hops and sweetness. Tastes right off the bat with bitter hop bite delves into nice aromatic notes from the massive mosaic hopping finishes with a nice malty sweetness. Warm this one a bit for a nice flowing note experience as the hop bite settles down and the mosiac profile is way more noticable. Probably become one of my favorite dipas.

Light orange pour, decent white head. Boatload of woody hops in the nose. Bitter. Middle is chewy malt base with orange zest floating over the top. Finish is bitter and bright. Good Beer
