Poured from a can dated 04/29/2015. Aroma is balanced between malt and hops. Light caramel and toasted bread with a bit of cracker. Moderate grapefruit and pine resin with a hint of alcohol. Pours a slightly cloudy, copper orange with a medium sized, moderately thick, slightly off white head with decent retention. Medium lacing and small legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with some caramel, toasted bread and crackers. Medium high to high bitterness. Medium low hop character, mostly grapefruit and pine resin. Light alcohol spice. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, not a great beer. Balanced malt and hops, but I prefer an unbalanced IPA tilted towards hops.

4 pack from HEB. Straight out the can. Aroma of pine, hops and sweetness. Tastes right off the bat with bitter hop bite delves into nice aromatic notes from the massive mosaic hopping finishes with a nice malty sweetness. Warm this one a bit for a nice flowing note experience as the hop bite settles down and the mosiac profile is way more noticable. Probably become one of my favorite dipas.

Light orange pour, decent white head. Boatload of woody hops in the nose. Bitter. Middle is chewy malt base with orange zest floating over the top. Finish is bitter and bright. Good Beer

Bright hoppy resiny aroma. Pours a dark honey gold with a bright white head. Lots of lacing. Really well balanced. Piney grapefruit with a body and some malty sweetness. Very smooth finish.

On tap, poured into a pint glass. Floral and juicy citrus notes come forth initially followed shortly after by bright, danky herb. The beer is effervescent and colored orange amber with a white, foamy head that leaves good lace and has. good retention. The taste is, up front, a bright, juicy medium sweet that support the medium high bitter that follows. It’s creamy and fuzzy with a medium full body. Flavors of bread come through first with tangerine and light caramel. It finishes crisp with a heavy, bitter dank and spice which is followed by sweet citrus and grapefruit as well as a toasted note. The aftertaste is slightly sticky with notes of wax and pine with a dank note that lingers.

Bottle. Tarnished copper, a bit of haze. Not a ton of head. Thin yet fuzzy top layer. Perhaps the juiciest hop aroma I’ve experienced in an IPA. Yellow Starburst, Juicyfruit, hints of grass, biscuits, mango, orange peel. Is it possible to juice a hop? This tastes as if tropical hops were squeezed, mixed with water and sugar, and reduced -- hop simple syrup. The front is more resinous and grassy, with splashes of grapefruit peel and pineapple. The swallow brings malts, with caramel balancing the hops. Bitterness is never big, but hop flavor is ginormous. The medium-light body, isn’t as heavy as expected, but actually perfect here. Moderate carbonation pinching. I don’t know the alcohol content (it’s not on the bottle) but I’m sure it’s high and I’m also sure I can’t detect much of it at all. This beer has everything I love about hops. Juicy hop flavor, just enough sweetness, not too heavy or too light on the palate. Fantastic.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Thanks to Theydon Bois. Bright clear gold beer, big cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Airy malts bring mild creamy sweetness. Good marmalade hops backed by light lime and lemon. Mild pine and a touch of tropical fruits. Hops spice before a light semi dry finish. A fine beer.

Bomber poured a clear orange amber with a small lasting ivory head. Aromas of caramel, earthiness, grapefruit and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, earthiness, light pine and light grapefruit with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Colin. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. The aroma holds lots of ripe citrus, orange, so,e bready malts, suggestions of caramel. Medium sweet flavor with some leafy hops, orange rind, grapefruit, pine, grainy bread. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with moderate piney resins, some crackers, toasty pale malts, more orange and grapefruit. Pretty nice.
