On cask at Sugarland Flying Saucer. I have yet to try an IPA on cask that I like better than the keg. I compared this (in pints) side by side against Endeavor and Maharaja. They all look almost identical in the glass. Hop Delusion is is full of fruit and pine, but (this cask version at least) is not as hoppy and citrusy as Endeavor. This version lacks the hop punch I love in a IIPA. Itís still good, and I look forward to doing the same comparison when I find it on keg instead of cask. Bring on the Valkyrie, Southern Star! I think youíll have a winner for best IIPA produced in the Houston area and perhaps beyond.

Very sweet for a dipa. Sweet over powers hops but there are hops. Malty more than hoppy. Balanced enjoyable. Nice head that fades. Aroma semico. Flavor is more citra. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great floral aroma, moderate cloudy golden brown color. Hops flavor combines floral and bitter. I wish this was bigger than a half pint.

Light to medium amber pour with robust and enduring head with some lacing. Nose is grapefruit and citrus with a bit of grassy backing. Heady hop bitterness and mild carbonation persist on the palate and linger. And linger. The alcohol on this imperial is notably high but not overpowering. Absolutely not session material (you did read the name, right?) this bold but not remarkably different imperial IPA is quite satisfying. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours orange amber. Smell is hoppy, some citrus and pine. Taste is the same. Leans towards a dry DIPA and isnít overly malty or syrupy in the background which is nice. Pretty drinkable, and one I could enjoy again, but also didnít bowl me over. Nice beer.

Straw aromas. Nice orange brown color and a real nice hoppy floral flavor. Not overpowering at all and a nice light finish that washes the bitterness away ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the Yard House, Houston. An almost clear one, dark golden to pale amber in color and with a minimal sized off-white head. Lots and lots of citrus peel and pine cones in the aroma, resins and a little malty touch and some alcohol on the nose. The flavor has a lot of bitterness, still not too much, with pink grapefruit, pine cones and a generic citrus flavor. Some malty flavors too. Itís lightly warming on the palate, full bodied and with a nice carbonation level. Lasting bitter finish with pink grapefruit and pine cones. Sure delicious this one, with a really nice balance. Well, itís mostly on the hoppy side, and its also quite dry, making it dangerously easy drinkable. 140516
