COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Resinous, dank aromas fill the air. The sky is filled with yellowish-green clouds that look like hop cones. Everything you touch leaves your fingers sticky and now even the people around you look like hop cones. Their faces begin to ooze lupulin... You are in a state of Hop Delusion, but you knew what you signed up for when you popped this bottle. You knew that it had over 100 IBUs and was dry hopped with insane amounts of Simcoe and Mosaic hops, but you chose to drink it anyway. It’s difficult to say if you will ever snap out of it, for you have been smitten with the disorder that many can never overcome.

On cask at Sugarland Flying Saucer. I have yet to try an IPA on cask that I like better than the keg. I compared this (in pints) side by side against Endeavor and Maharaja. They all look almost identical in the glass. Hop Delusion is is full of fruit and pine, but (this cask version at least) is not as hoppy and citrusy as Endeavor. This version lacks the hop punch I love in a IIPA. It’s still good, and I look forward to doing the same comparison when I find it on keg instead of cask. Bring on the Valkyrie, Southern Star! I think you’ll have a winner for best IIPA produced in the Houston area and perhaps beyond.

can, malty west coast style IPA. Strong booze, strong maltiness, and big citrus flavors overwhelming everything else.

Bottle shared at the level 42, 24/05/2016. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. Clear golden orange coloured pour with a a fading sticky white head. Aroma is spicy hop, peppercorn, little caramel, pine. Flavour is composed of semi sweet grains, juicy orange, caramel, pine resin, little jammy fruits. Palate is medium bodied, sticky, moderate carbonation. Hides the large abv quite well.

34cl can shared at Leighton’s had tasting on Level 42, London. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. it pours a clean rich golden color with a small white head. Aroma is sweet and lightly fruity metallic with some orange and stone fruit. Taste is sweet fruity upfront with caramel, orange peel notes and turns quickly into dry astringent bitter notes of grains and metallic notes. Medium bodied with OK carbonation. Overall, OK

Growler > Craft and Growler. Very fresh and hoppy. Pretty darn drinkable for an IIPA. A little boozy but not terribly so. Nice dry palate. Very piney resinous flavor from the Simcoe and a little bite from the mosaic. This is good.

Light opaque orange, off-white lacinf foam ring. Strong hoppy aroma and bitter taste, doing honors to its name. Long aftertaste. (Galveston 201605)

12 oz can packaged 4/11/16. I dig fresh. Pours clear amber with a sticky white head. Pine, weed, and a bit of diacetyl on the nose. Flavor is pretty sweet with a slick mouthfeel. Not unpleasant, but a bit flawed. Has potential.

Really good. Strong hoppy beer with dankness and citrus and pine. Mild sweet back ground but this is hophead’s dream. Nice caramel-orange color. Full feel with a weighty coating of the mouth.

Hazy light amber with a nice head but several large chunks drifting around at the bottom of the glass. CAN conditioned??? So sick of breweries that only give it in the CAN. Other than the bits of something floating about this brew smelled and tasted thick with floral and citrus hops. Smelled great, tasted great, but just couldn’t get over the trash in the CAN thing. So overall was not happy with the trash and the fact that it only comes in a CAN!!

On cask at the Brewz Brothers in Galveston. A nice, creamy pour. Good hop with malt backbone--more malt than hop to me.

Slightly hazy, light amber with an off-white head. Aroma of fruit--some citrus, some dark fruit--and a little spice. Bitterness hits the tongue immediately, but a malty, fruity character balances the overall flavor nicely.
