COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Copper in color with ruby highlights, this Texas IPA has a strong citrus aroma with hints of earthiness and spice from the added European hops. Light berry fruits are perceived before giving way to citrusy hop character. Dry and quenching, this IPA is dry-hopped for added aromatic intensity.

Jaune pale avec une petite mousse blanche. L’arôme a un peu d’agrumes. En bouche il y a un peu de agrumes sur un fondation du malt pale. C’est buvable, mais pas mal standard. Le nom est super, par example!

12 oz. can. Shared with others at brew club. Pours a medium, well retained off white head, with slight lacing over a gold (SRM 5) hazy body......nose is grapefruit, pine, resin, slight malts, balance to the hops.......taste is grapefruit peel, resin pine, slight toffee/caramel sweetness, with heavy finishing bitterness, balance to the hops......mouth feel, medium body, slight alcohol warmth, moderate carbonation. This is a very typical American IPA, with American hops. BJCP 8/3/15/4/7

Sampled on draught. Copper colour with a white head. Taste of pine resin, orange peel and berries. Nice bitter finish. A good American-style IPA.

On tap at the Ginger Man. Pours out smooth and creamy, silky head. Gentle hoppy aroma, taste brings out some caramelly malts, hops rest softly on the backplane. Mild for an IPA, but very well crafted.

Appearance: clear pale amber with a fat finger of fluffy light beige head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Aroma: resiny pine, citrus rind, pale malt, light earth. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-high bitter. (7/10) Palate: medium slightly creamy body, moderate carbonation, off-dry bitter finish. (4/5) Solid hop-forward A/IPA with just enough malt backbone to support it. Goes down a treat when working on the basement, and hard to beat for the price! (15/20)

This is a somewhat inflated rating for the beer that I have come to associate with Texas. I've lived here for some two years on military posting, and this is by far and away my local choice for the best and most accessible IPA. Excellent by any standard. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Christmas present from friends from Austin. Pours a thick, white head. Copper, transparent color. Delightfully hoppy bitter balanced with malty sweetness. Notes of grapefruit, blueberry, and biscuit. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

Probably my favorite, go-to local beer. Marmalade in color, slight haze, nice very lacey white head. Pine cone aroma, notes of peach and grapefruit. Very well balanced on the tongue, a lovely bitterness with some well paired citrus.
