Copper in color with ruby highlights, this Texas IPA has a strong citrus aroma with hints of earthiness and spice from the added European hops. Light berry fruits are perceived before giving way to citrusy hop character. Dry and quenching, this IPA is dry-hopped for added aromatic intensity.

Golden orange, bold in body with a dense, creamy head, it’s an almost citrusy, sweet looking IPA. The nose is of light to moderate caramel malts and citrus hops, light, sweet, and yet both thick and fresh. It’s almost more caramel forward in the mouth than hoppy, but it’s well- balanced. It offers both a sloghtly thick sweetness and a mellow but obvious citrus hop presence. It seems like half pale ale half ipa to me, but good for a spring morning. Not quite sessionable bevause of how thick it is, but more satisfying than your average pale.

Pours a nice amber color with off-white head. Light fruits, citrus, and pine on the nose; follow onto the palate. This one finishes with a nice hop resin, but seems to be more of an average IPA.

Draft - Skunky piney hops. Cloudy copper with a rich beige head. Tastes just like it smells, with a very well balanced bitterness and sweetness. A great IPA.

Not a bad IPA. Very reminiscent of Red Hook ESB oddly enough. Good lace, nice head initially but lostbit half way. Very pleasing floral palette with a slight citrus and pine note. Nice balance of malt to dry mouthfeel.

On tap. Pours a clear copper with a white head and lacing. It has a nice citrus and pine aroma with the same flavor profile that leads to a bitter, slightly malty finish over a medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can to glass. Pours a hazy dark amber color. Aroma is light piney hops with grass notes. Taste is again piney hops, with moderate bitterness. Again grass presence with some resin. Some malts Reminds me of a west coast style IPA. Palate is thin, lightly carbonated. Ok offering overall.

I mean, if you live in Houston and like IPAs....then you probably annihilate Hopadillos on a regular basis. This local beer is a Torpedo-eqsue Cali-style IPA that has the volume turned up a little bit. This is probably between an IPA and DIPA as the alcohol and taste are considerably more than your typical IPA. This beer has a mild malt nose that leads to an astringent hoppy finish and a slight alcohol note. Nothing about this beer is exceptional, but the total package in terms of aggressiveness and lack of defects leads to a pretty solid recommendation. The primary defect of this beer is the overly sugary mouthfeel and the somewhat narrow palate as the hop profile is fairly narrow. This is definitely in the running for one of the best Texas brewed IPAs.
