Golden copperish with a thin disspipating white head. Lovely nose of caramel and toffee with a citrusy/floal hop nose, but also with a whisper of grass. Flavor was a wonderful IPA ride, combining the best of british and american IPAs. Lots of sweet toffee and a little caramel maltiness building the base, with a combo of American and British hoppiness making a bitter and deliciously balanced hop tone. Some light resin and grapefruit team up with some grassy Kent Goldings with a classic, easy going personality.

Not bad. Not as astringent as the rodeo clown but manages to retain a bunch of its hopped richness. Great piney aroma.

Had a pint or two at the tour. Nice pale. It is pretty hoppy even for a pale ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught. Not much to say about this, but not because it wasnít good: basically a straightforward, well-made example of a "west-coast-style" IPA. Hop-forward, veering towards harsh initially, but with substantial malt backing. Didnít know this brewer existed; nice addition to Houstonís local brewing scene, since St. Arnoldís IPA is more on the tame side.

Good basic IPA, solid not overbearing, good taste, hoppy but outrageous, nothing special but good.

Can, 11/23/2012. Dark golden pour with dense fizzy head, sudsy lacing. Aroma fairly malt forward, dark bready caramel character with thick fresh pine hop notes. Taste is piney, resinous hops, light citrus, heavy bitterness with earthy caramel malts. Medium light palate. A bit rough around the edges but pretty decent.

Nice copper pour. Aroma pine-citrus present but subdued. Taste nice hop malt profile a little heavy on the malt. Rich mouthfeel.

can. clear orange beer with small white head. strong pine and citrus aroma with a crystal malt backing. bitter and harsh hop flavors, although lots of malt sweetness is added for balance. the palate in nice with the proper fullness and carb level. hop flavors mellow as you make your way through the beer, but initially, itís quite a punch.
