COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Copper in color with ruby highlights, this Texas IPA has a strong citrus aroma with hints of earthiness and spice from the added European hops. Light berry fruits are perceived before giving way to citrusy hop character. Dry and quenching, this IPA is dry-hopped for added aromatic intensity.

Pours golden orange with a soapy off-white head. Smells earthy and spicy with hints of citrus underneath. Taste is bitter, strongly so, with a touch of mineral-like character underneath (tastes better on tap; this review is from the can). Medium-bodied with a slick texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Karbach Hopadillo IPA finishes with a bit of bitterness.

Golden copperish with a thin disspipating white head. Lovely nose of caramel and toffee with a citrusy/floal hop nose, but also with a whisper of grass. Flavor was a wonderful IPA ride, combining the best of british and american IPAs. Lots of sweet toffee and a little caramel maltiness building the base, with a combo of American and British hoppiness making a bitter and deliciously balanced hop tone. Some light resin and grapefruit team up with some grassy Kent Goldings with a classic, easy going personality.

This brand-new brew from Karbach was had on tap and benefited hugely by being fresh, fresh, fresh. The color is a wonderful, clear copper with a characteristic American IPA nose: citrusy and spicy. The combination of malts and hops delivers a malty spice taste that went down very well (several pints’ worth, in fact). Even though fairly bold, it’s a good session beer – the brewer concentrated on taste without jamming on the alcohol.

Citrusy IPA with a bit more maltiness than some to balance the hop bitterness. A pleasant surprise. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great beer. Filtered amber appearance. Creamy/thick head. Aroma is nothing but hops. Very dry to the palate. A great showcasing of hops (which is what an IPA should be).

Karbach's IPA has a solid, piney taste. The aroma grabs you and it's quite refreshing. It has a nice after taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great IPA from a newer brewery in Houston. Bit more malt than some IPAs but real nice hop levels. Little more amber in color and goes quite well with a variety of foods. Nice burger or other sandwhich and one of these and you are set.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2013 Pours amber with a pillowy, white head. Earthy, fruity (apple, maybe?) some citrus, caramel, bread, some resin. Different than most American IPAs I’ve had.

Green, fresh, mildly fruity aroma of pine, grapefruit, and even a bit of weed. The taste is appropriately bitter but very fresh and piney throughout. I had it side by side with the Stone IPA and I liked this one a lot more.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2012 Had on Draft @ the Flying Saucer .. . Pours a medium tan .. substantial foam .. . decent lacing .. . light resin and sap, with caramel .. . light bitterness .. . pretty good but forgettable .. . . We weren’t allowed to wear berets at my school, it was against the dress code. They did let me wear a paper cap, though. It was long and pointy.
