3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught. Not much to say about this, but not because it wasn’t good: basically a straightforward, well-made example of a "west-coast-style" IPA. Hop-forward, veering towards harsh initially, but with substantial malt backing. Didn’t know this brewer existed; nice addition to Houston’s local brewing scene, since St. Arnold’s IPA is more on the tame side.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Plano, Tx - Total Wine - North Plano. Sparkling medium copper, light off-white head. Solid spruce aroma, a touch of spearmint. Solid IPA flavor with some strong citrus bitterness, a touch of yeasty cake mix sweetness, some caramel sweetness. Decently thick mouthfeel.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
poured out of a can into a pint glass at an overpriced Houston International Airport restaurant. Not sure where to go with this beer. Initial aroma is... non-existent. Appearance is good, in fact I ordered it because the bearded hipster in the booth across from me had it in front of him and well, it looked good. Palate is creamy, almost oily feel. Finish is actually nice and long. Kind of alcohol-y though. Pine, citrus, all the IPA stand-bys are there. Hipsters girlfriend just ordered another. Looks like they’re getting drunk. Maybe I should too. What the hell else is there to do in Houston?

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at the Hay Merchant. Clear Amber pour with a white head. Mild citrus hop bouquet. Grapefruit hops dominate. Not overly bitter or aggressive. Well balanced. It doesn’t jump out at you, but is easy drinking. Good mouthfeel and body. A little better than the average IMHO.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. can from my Secret Santa. Thanks man! Pours an opaque orangish amber with a thick, off white head. The head stays on top well, decent lacing. Aroma of citrus, fruits, and medium caramel notes. Flavor is medium bitterness, mild bread and caramel malt notes, and some tea notes as well. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Nice, dry finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz can. Strong copper color, clear pour with good lacing and a moderate persistent head. Aroma is mild, a few notes of spicy hop and light-ish malt. Taste is good, too, with no discernible off notes and a pleasant roundness of flavor that includes a few different varieties of hops but no dominant ones. Good mixed-hop IPA. Recommended

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. can as pictured. Copper color, lasting head from a steady carbonation level. Even when warm the aroma is mild. Floral hints, weak pale malt. Flavor is sweet with a light hops bite.
Balance is decent. Floral and pine with a mellow, lasting bitterness after the sip. Simple but pretty well made. Easy to find these cans all over Texas.
