Tap at the Wurstfest. The look is brown, beige colored head, and mostly clear. The smell is malty, dusty, cereal, grain, and ok. The taste is much the same, ok crispness, malty richness.

Tap at the brewery. Pours a solid copper color. Aroma is nice and malty, notes of honey and caramel. Nice fallish aroma. Taste is much of the same, light grains and malts with faint caramel and honey an very light roast. Not bad! Palate is well carbonated, light to medium body. Enjoyable, but not spectacular.

I do wish Americans who make American craft "Oktoberfest" beers would go to the actual Oktoberfest in Munchen. I grew up there, so…. If karbach could replicate the color, nose, head, lacing, mouth feel, and flavor of Oktoberfest beers served at Oktoberfest Wies’n they’d really have a winner. This one pours amber (Big 6 I in Munchen pour golden); no head (Big 6 pour 3 finger head); and has the nosing and taste characteristics of Old Milwaukee, Schlitz, and Milwaukee’s best. I know Karbach can do better because I have tasted their other beer. Karbachtoberfest stands out as an adjunct filler beer. Better than Bud, Miller, Coors….but not by much

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A lighter copper color. Small white head. Funky, stinky and malty aroma. Lighter body. Flavor is very reminiscent of fall. Good light bodied oktoberfest with full flavor.

Nice copper color. Didn’t stay as carbonated for as long as I would’ve liked but still had a good flavor. This years was better than last years.

Not a bad Octoberfest. No aroma. Malty sweet as expected. Golden. Thin fast fading head. Good thick mouthfeel as expected. Decent.

Can: Orange hued golden, sudsy white head, sparce lacing, light carbonation. Bready nose, biscuit, slightly mealy. Sweet breadiness to start. As it warms, the nose does get a bit corny but thankfully I don’t get that on the tongue. Smooth bready malts, biscuit, with only a touch of mealiness. Pretty clean overall. Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full. Finishes semi-sweet, malty, bready, touch of biscuit and mealiness. Decent. Thanks Bill!

12 oz can poured clear golden with two fingers of frothy white head that stuck around for a bit and left spotty sticky lacing. Nose is roasted malt and mild hops. Taste is of roasty malts, apple, bread and a little hoppiness. Sweet all the way through. Almost has a cider like mouthfeel.

This is the second beer I’ve tried from this company. I’m a fan of the Oktoberfest beers and this one hits the spot. Yummy
