This was hands down the best lager I have ever had. This poured a muddy brown with white frothy head. The flavor had almost a rootbeer hue to it. I really liked it alot.

not a big fan of the Tmavý style, yes, i use the fancy words .. . pours a penny brown .. great foam .. typical caramel and what not amber flavours .. mouth is spot on for the style .. a great example of a dunkel but i don’t really like them so smudge it .. . . Cobblings is the most southern word I’ve ever heard.

Tap at Karbach. Pours dark brown, a bit of light visible. Tan head. Average retention. Aroma is coffee, faint chocolate, toast. Taste is toasted malts, faint cocoa, light chocolate. Mild bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Enjoyed this!

On tap at Onion Creek. Nice red body with medium, tan head. Nose malty, caramel and hops. Light-bodied. Chocolate and malts and good stuff. Sweet in the finish.

355ml can. Not a by the books dunkel but certainly a tasty dark lager, not super roasty, mostly toasted malt notes which is nice.

From can. Pours dark brown with quickly disappearing head. Tastes like a dark Vienna lager. Similar to Negro Modelo, but even sweeter. Only slight bitterness in the end and a overall medium body making slightly less drinkable than a pale lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown pour. No head. No lacing. Fake caramel aroma. Some roasted malt. Taste is the same. Some bitterness in the finish. Not sure what type of lager they were going for.

Pours dark. Light head. Light body. No lacing. Decent flavor. Not bad for a winter seasonal.

I was very surprised by the Mother in Lager beer. The beer had a smooth taste without the bitter or tart aftertaste found in other dark beers. I also found the beer to be less filling than the other dark beers. Mother in lager has now become the main beer in my refrigerator.

Can, thanks to Nick. Clear brown/ruby, short lived khaki head. Aroma of caramel, toast, toffee. Taste: moderate sweetness, caramel, malt-driven, light bitterness. Palate: light+ body, average carbonation. Overall: sorta nondeScript malty lager.

Brown brew with fast dying head. Yep this is a dark lager and I am not much of a lager fan, especially dark lagers. As usual it smells like chocolate malts that would be expected from a good stout. Well have to give this one bonus on flavor. The mix of malts used makes the chocolate not so over the top and makes this one fairly drinkable. Not the heavy grime feel over the tongue that is typical of others I have had. Decent brew and that suprised me.
