Pours a muddy brown with a light brown head. Toasted malt, caramel, nuttty aroma. Sweet, some hops. Flavor is caramel, malt, a little chocolate. Best dang lager I’ve ever had.

2/26/16. On tap at Metzler’s BBQ. Amber pour with a nice khaki head, good lacing. Nice flavor, malty, lightly grainy and doughy, hints of caramel, smooth. Nice flavor, creamy texture, light grainy/doughy aspect, hints of caramel and fruitiness. Not bad, slammed well with AYCE ribs.

Another pretty solid lager from Karbach. Mostly bready malts, light caramel sweetness. Gift from Emma for Christmas, 2015.

Mild toasty malt aroma. Pours a dark reddish amber with a light beige head that fizzles away pretty quickly leaving a clean glass behind. Smooth. Earthy. Toasty. Medium to light bodied. Not bad.

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear brown color with a thin beige head. Taste of roasted and toasted malts and caramel malts. Lively carbonation, medium body. Very sessionable, even though it’s 5.8%.

It had a very traditional feel to it. Predominantly malty with a slight hoppy hint. Pretty easy to drink. Not too heavy with a light palate and good carbonation. Nice color and foam.

Dark mahogany pour with a cream colored head. Strong sweet caramel and nutty aroma. Taste is caramel, nutty, and toast. Thins out in the finish. Light body.

12 oz can purchased as a singe at D&Q - The Beer Station in Houston, Texas. Crafted on 093015. The pour is a clear brown copper with a tan well formed head. The aroma is toasty roast, sweet caramel malt. The taste is the caramel nutty malt, toasty less roast than the nose, and a clean finish. The palate is light bodied with active carbonation and and a clean slightly sweet finish. Nice full flavor as it warms.

Poured beautifully from the can, dark brown with amber edges under a thick light beige head, quick dissipation. Caramel, roasted malt and notes of cocoa in the aroma. Toasted biscuit on the tongue with notes of caramel, cardboard, and coffee...pretty boring but not bad. It’s like Shiner for grownups.

Pours a dark brown, but clear color with off-white almost tan head. Roasted malt, some light cocoa, biscuit, and bread on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with roast mostly.
