3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 travita (3055) - Frisco, Texas, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Can. The look is amber reddish in color, beige decent head, and slightly hazy. The smell is peachy, caramel, slight cheese, sweet, fruits, pine, candy, and alcohol. Smell is better with a little warmer temp on the beer. The taste is sweet, hops, candy, fruits, alcohol and ok bitterness. Slightly chewy and thick.

Hand Bottled:   Amber in color,a bit fiery, moderate sudsy sandy colored head, spotty lacing.   Soft hop and citrus nose.   Leaning towards more of a citrus variety.   A bit resiny, very faint alcohol.   On the
tongue the alcohol (9.5%) is not to be seen.   Lots of citrus, resin, and pithy qualities.   Mild sweetness, very smooth with a nice moderate hop bite.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Mild alcohol on the
finish, moreso warming.   Very simple and well done, and well balanced with a good malt background.   Thankfully not just a hop bomb.   Thanks for the opportunity to try this one Bill!

Draught. Pours an amber color with a moderate white head. Nose is a little bit floral and implies a tad bit of bitterness, but not much. Taste is much the same, and ends up being quite smooth. Not bad at all...
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 BeerOtter (12) - Houston, Texas, USA - APR 14, 2013
I had this beer when I used to live in Houston, TX. This I believed was the best that the brewery had at the time. It's too bad that it doesn't come all the way up to Washington state.

Extra from errl...thanks Chris! Deep orange. Very malty nose almost like a barleywine. Bit spicy but not a ton of hops on nose. Pretty malty sweet but a piney bitter finish. Not my favorite but a solid double.

Sample at Hay Merchant in Houston. The beer is a hazy amber color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt, citrus and hops. Medium to full body with flavors of citrusy hops, bready malt and a touch of warming alcohol. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average all around.
