very large beer as well, not a lot of bitterness or hoppiness, more of a barleywine, stuff is killer on tap
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Delirium (636) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 13, 2013
Draught. Pours cloudy amber-orange, with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malt and resiny hops. Flavor is... well, those same things. It’s what you expect from a DIPA, but it’s very nicely done; everything holds together well. With the extra malt backing the hops are slightly less forward than in their Hopadillo IPA, but it’s still on the hoppy side of the DIPA spectrum. Tasty.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 onceblind (2535) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 27, 2012
Slightly hazy orange with a thin rocky white head. Blissful aroma of sweet caramel, orange zest, and resinous hoppy bitterness. Flavor was much the same. While quite bitter and slightly boozy, there was a ton of caramel sweetness, and a tone of orange zest, with a lot of sweetness much like orange candy. But bitter and hoppy. Quite large but exceptionally balanced and quite caramel-sweet for a DIPA.

This is a solid double IPA. Very strong, rich malt backbone. Very powerful aroma and taste. Resinous, woody pine, and citrus. If you’re a fan of subtlety, this isn’t for you.

Had about a half pint at the tour. This is the beer you drink if you like hard liquor and nothing is around. Its very strong and i could actually taste the alcohol in it. This ones more for sipping.

Can,11/24/2012, Pours clear amber, medium frothy head with decent retention, watery lacing. Aroma is spicy caramel malts with nice citrus, tropical hop notes- pineapple, melon, orange- pine resin secondary. Taste is sweet caramel malts, blending nicely with big piney, tongue tingling hops, light citrus. Medium palate, avoids being too resinous so pretty smooth and drinkable. Not bad at all.
