Itís a job. And a hazardous one at that. Benefits, you ask? I hardly think so. But the show must go on. So, itís with bravado that the Rodeo Clown takes his place in the arena lights. Whether or not heís insane is not important right now. Itís with grit and intensity that the Clown steps in the path of almost certain destruction. Our Double IPA is much the same. At 9.5% ABV, Rodeo Clown Double IPA coats the tongue in bitterness and packs a punch that will knock a bull on its ass . Intense and maybe a little insane drink carefully, but drink often. Ladies and Gentlemen, let the show begin.

Draft pour hazy light copper with moderate ecru head. Nose floral, banana, almost bubble gum. Taste big sweet up front, mango, banana, some citrus. Mid palate light bitterness through the finish. Not used to bubble gum flavors in a double.

Faint bitter aroma. Copperish in color with a medium weight and good carbonation. Nice blend of Flavors. Alcohol well hidden with resiny hops up front and a slightly sweet base. Nice example of the style.

I never seem to tire of this beer. Weíve tried a variety of hoppy beers in our keg and this remains my favorite so far.

Poured copper in color, moderately sized head. Sweet hopped aroma. I liked the warm, ripe fruitiness that carried the load alongside the bitterness. Medium bodied with notes of prune in the finish.

Draft at Flying Saucer Ft Worth. It has all the visuals. Thereís a rusty aroma and the flavor tilts toward the metallic, with bit of woodsy undertow. Clean and good but doesnít stand out in a crowded field. (#6058, 11/8/2015)

12 oz can from my secret santa. Thanks man! Pours a reddish amber with a minimal off white head. Sparse lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, and mild booze. Flavor is malty, bitter, with lots of citrus and booze notes. Full bodied, above average carbonation. Finishes boozy and bitter. Pretty good.
