COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís a job. And a hazardous one at that. Benefits, you ask? I hardly think so. But the show must go on. So, itís with bravado that the Rodeo Clown takes his place in the arena lights. Whether or not heís insane is not important right now. Itís with grit and intensity that the Clown steps in the path of almost certain destruction. Our Double IPA is much the same. At 9.5% ABV, Rodeo Clown Double IPA coats the tongue in bitterness and packs a punch that will knock a bull on its ass . Intense and maybe a little insane drink carefully, but drink often. Ladies and Gentlemen, let the show begin.

Tap. Pours clear amber with a large, creamy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is pine, citrus, and herbal hops, biscuit and honey malt, pear and apple esters. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness with supporting malt, fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium to full body and carbonation.

Surprisingly excellent brew! Frothy head. Hoppy. Caramel hue. Smooth wash down. No cloying or tin aftertaste. Simple but extremely flavorful. Iím beginning to like Karbachís entries. Well rounded brew.

Can. Pours a deep orange to almost brown. Clear. White head. Aroma is slightly bitter grapefruit and some malty notes. Taste is not overly malty but the malt is more present than Iíd like in this style. Some more grapefruit and orange peel in the taste. A little past prime it seems.

Clear dark amber beer. Smooth palate with mild carbonation. Smooth malt, trace of toffee. Rich marmalade hops with lesser red berry fruits, pine and grass. Finishes slightly gum numbing. Not bad.

12 oz can. Just clear deep brown with a sparse head. Nose is butterscotch, grass, lemon-lime and quinine. Medium to full body with heat and a tang. Taste is orange peel, vodka and toffee. More malty but decent hopping keep it drinkable.

Slightly hazy red orange pour with a yellowish off-white head that lasts and leaves nice lacing. Sweet caramel and citrus aroma with a bit of grass and apricot. Taste is caramel, apricots, pine, and citrus zest. Medium body slightly sticky. Really nice sweet bitter balance. Nice beer.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Central Market, 6/18/13

Aroma: The nose is resiny and floral, with some musky notes, citrus, and caramel/toffee
Appearance: It pours a dark orange-reddish color with a small off-white head and some sticky lace
Flavor: Tastes medium sweet and medium-plus bitter, but as it finishes, the bitterness takes over
Palate: The body is medium, it has an almost flat carbonation, and a long, rather dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this was a solid DIPA, though not a top of style offering. Still, it works well. Sorry it isnít another St. Arnold beer, Dave, I heard you like their name.

Received in a trade with MeadMe, thanks for the opportunity! Pours a fairly murky copper color with a decent sized milky white head that slowly dissipates to a cap on top. The aroma is grapefruit, pineapple, caramel and brown sugar mostly with hints of pine resin and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with sugary caramel malts and a solid shot of ethanol. Light bitter citrusy resinous hop flavor with a firm hop bitterness. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet lightly syrupy mouthfeel. Decent enough IPA, but a bit sweet and a little too alcohol harsh for my tastes.

Can. The look is amber reddish in color, beige decent head, and slightly hazy. The smell is peachy, caramel, slight cheese, sweet, fruits, pine, candy, and alcohol. Smell is better with a little warmer temp on the beer. The taste is sweet, hops, candy, fruits, alcohol and ok bitterness. Slightly chewy and thick.
