COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís a job. And a hazardous one at that. Benefits, you ask? I hardly think so. But the show must go on. So, itís with bravado that the Rodeo Clown takes his place in the arena lights. Whether or not heís insane is not important right now. Itís with grit and intensity that the Clown steps in the path of almost certain destruction. Our Double IPA is much the same. At 9.5% ABV, Rodeo Clown Double IPA coats the tongue in bitterness and packs a punch that will knock a bull on its ass . Intense and maybe a little insane drink carefully, but drink often. Ladies and Gentlemen, let the show begin.

Clear dark amber beer. Smooth palate with mild carbonation. Smooth malt, trace of toffee. Rich marmalade hops with lesser red berry fruits, pine and grass. Finishes slightly gum numbing. Not bad.

On tap at Yard House Houston. It pours a hazy, orange-brown body under a thin light beige head leaving curtains. The aroma is very fruity and piney, grapefruit, some resins and peach and a faint meaty touch too. Itís pleasantly carbonated, medium to full bodied, and medium dry. Itís quite bitter, grapefruit, pine cones and some peach hints, as well as citrus peel and some malty notes. Lasting finish almost entirely on the hoppy side. Overall itís a nice beer, tasteful and easy drinkable, but lacking some depth. 131112

CanÖ Clear ruby ale with a small, fizzy, white head. The nose offers dank, musky, resiny hops and not a whole lot else. Medium to full-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and dancing carbonation. The flavor is full of tropical fruit, but also very bitter grapefruit and other citrus fruit rinds and piths. Finishes grainy, sand-papery and dry.

Base dipa, on tap at the brewery. Can use some aromatic hops. Ok hoppy beer. Liked some of their other hoppy beers.

Sample at Hay Merchant in Houston. The beer is a hazy amber color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt, citrus and hops. Medium to full body with flavors of citrusy hops, bready malt and a touch of warming alcohol. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average all around.

355ml can. Amberish pour, fizzy, soapy white head. The smell is quite sugary, with and underlying of fruity hops. Flavor is intensely orangey, farily acidic, light spice. Too sweet for an ipa for my liking but not necessarily poor.
