COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Weisse Versa is unfiltered and has the refreshing characteristics you’d come to expect in a wheat beer, but the combination of the citrus peel and coriander added during the brewing process and the natural clove, nutmeg and banana aromas produced by our special, Bavarian wheat beer yeast result in a beer that’s unlike any you’ve ever had. With Weisse Versa you get the flavors you love in a German Hefe AND in a Belgian White beer. Both. At the same time.

Karbach Weiss Versa is like a lighter Hefeweizen which isn’t too bad. Light yeasty aroma coming from a yellow translucent pour with a moderate head. There are nice banana and clove flavors in this easy drinking beer. Body is light, a bit thin. Weiss Versa is a drinkable brew that goes well with food.

Really great golden color with a nice orange hue. Bubbly and tasty, with flavors of traditional Belgian white and the creaminess of the hefe. Clove, banana and some citrus. Nice and refreshing.

can poured a hazy gold with a lasting creamy white head. Aromas of wheat, yeast and light lemon zest. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of wheat, yeast and light lemon zest with a crisp dry yeasty finish.

Pours a slightly hazy gold. Smell is typical hefeweizen like with clove and yeast esteriness. Taste is similar with wheat and yeast notes of spices. Medium body, and reasonably crisp. I liked it, and it was a classic hef taste, and I didn’t really notice the citrus peel particularly.

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2014 From 12oz can. Pours a cloudy, golden orange with a fluffy 3 finger head that lingered. Smells of wheat, yeast, spices, banana and bubblegum. Tastes wheaty with spices, citrus and some sweetness. Low malt presence. Semi-dry finish. Nice hybrid wheat beer that has plenty of flavor

Location: 12 oz can from Spec’s, 4/21/14

Aroma: The aroma is clove/spice, wheat, Belgian yeast, banana, and some orange zest
Appearance: It pours an unclear orange color with an off-white head on it
Flavor: The taste is much the same, a little sweet, spice, mildly tart, and with a mild bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, it has an average carbonation, a bit of creaminess
Overall Impression: Brought this and the Weekend Warrior to a work BBQ. Both were great beers for that kind of crowd (mostly people who drink Shiner and the like or don’t beer at all), because they are both well-made, but not aggressive beers. Hopadillo, for example, would have been too aggressive. As for this one specifically, I like what they did here. One of the better new (to me) wheat beers I have tried in recent memory.

Poured from a 12OZ can, the color is a golden orange with a white head that dissipates quickly. I smell banana, clove and Belgian yeast. I taste all the same, excellent Weizen from Texas!

Draft - Banana and spice. Cloudy yellow with a rich white head. Banana, clove, wheat and the usual. Nice for a local but another hefeweizen.

Refrigerated 12 oz.can, big thanks to BMart, poured into a weizen glass. Pours deep golden with big fluffy off-white head. Aroma is wheaty, medium body, medium carbonation, and little big bubble lacing. Taste is wheaty, bubblegum, coriander, some clove, some orange, and some banana. Interesting combination of hefeweizen and wit and easy to drink, but just pretty good.

On draft, small head, hazy orange appearance, weak lacing. Aroma was sweet bread and citrus. Flavor followed, a bit too sweet and sticky for my liking. Body was full and undercarbonated. Not a bad drink, not above average for the style, though!
