This, our Winter seasonal, is a black ale spiced generously with cocoa nibs, orange peel, ginger, cardamom, allspice, nutmeg, and cinnamon. It truly is the holidays in a glass.

Medium bodied, this brew delivers a surprising amount of dark chocolate bitterness while the spices dance on your tongue providing a complex array of winter flavors. 8% ABV, please drink responsibly. Otherwise you might shoot your eye out!

Pours a murky amber-brown with nice tan-off-white head. Aroma is fresh, spiced, caramel, and bread crust. Spicey and balanced taste with roasted edges. The is a perfect holiday beer to me, really captures flavors that go with the season.

UPDATED: DEC 1, 2015 Dark brown, clear, with a big, lasting, thickly lacing beige head. Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted malt and pine with a hint of cocoa. Taste is toasty sweet malts, mild bitterness, and moderate Christmas spice. Medium bodied. I’d swear they’ve beefed this up since 2011. Original rating on 11/16/11 - 8/4/6/3/13=3.4.

Can pour dark cola brown with large tan head. Nose ginger, sweet malt, light spice, almost peppery, hint of caramel. Taste similar to nose but not as strong. Flavors seem muted compared to the nose.

F.U.N. Series #008, 2013- This version is their "Yule Shoot Your Eye Out" winter seasonal that has been Aged in Bourbon Barrels. The beer pours a dark brown color with an off-white head. Some spotty lace left behind. Aroma is full of Christmas spices, cinnamon and some caramel, toffee malt, some vanilla and wood from the barrels. The flavor follows suit. I get a lot of cinnamon and caramel malt, as well as a little bit of nutmeg. There is also raisin notes in the flavor, as well as some other dark fruit. The wood and vanilla come through but dont mix that well, kinda strange and slightly off-putting.
