Previously known as "Schwarzer Woipertinger".
Wie ein Woipertinger hat das dunkle Weißbier von Vielen etwas, zum spritzig blumigen Weißbieraroma kommt auch noch eine malzige, süßliche Komponente dazu.

0.5l bottle bought in Bavaria. Murky brown with a thin head, banana and bread aromas, more banana on the palate but with a touch of honey and a dry-bitter roast coffee bite that lasts into the finish.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Hazy medium dark brown colour, not much head. Strong sweet banana clove aroma. Dry sharp banana flavour. Sour vegetable aftertaste. Very disappointed with this one.

Test vom 26.11.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,9,9,8,11,9 - 9,25

50cl bottle. Pours a toffee colour with a yellow hue around the edges. There are steady bubbles and a good head though not as enormous as usual. The nose is of banana and cream, maybe including a hint of vanilla. The taste has more bananas, vanilla ice-cream and a toffee note in the background that comes in more at the end. The palate is medium to big in structure, there is a very creamy texture as expected and the finish fresh if not completely clean. Overall, a lovely rich but refreshing beer.

20 May 2011, bottle. if poured so there is yeast in the glass it looks like the light part of a guinness before it settles; light tan and almost frothy. delicious banana bread aroma, bananas and walnuts. med/thin body, creamy and fairly fizzy. rich, mushy bananas and a moist bready yeastiness. great!

Bottle. Caramel malt nose, hazy as heck, big toffee head with lace. Flavour is a lovely toasted malt, caramel. Medium bodied, very well balanced, gorgeous mouthfeel, Yum. Great! As a Friend has said in the past" I could drink this from a dumpster."

Hazy amber with a medium off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and hints of bread. Breadish flavour with caramel and malty notes. Finished sweet.

Thick and muddy in the glass. With a super-thick head. Obvious banana and spicy clove to the nose with a light green herbal quality to it. Chocolate milk and menthol do not make for the happiest of marriages in the mouth. In fact I would say this one was downright abusive. Smooth and round in texture. Weird looking and very lacking.
