Geschmack hefig fruchtig, reife Bananen, leicht würzig.

McWorta (482) - LUXEMBOURG - MAR 22, 2014
Dark pillowy white head with light yeast haziness and bright amber coloured, no CO2. Noses of hay, flowery hops, Litschi, clove, cabbage and white wood (carpenter). Soft texture, lightly bitter a bit astringent combined with some sweetness and a medium-full body. Astringent finish with a touch of acidity, beer of character and polarising.

Bottle at Ericht Ale House, Blairgowrie. Hazy pale yellow, thick white head. Aromas of banana and clove, nice yeastiness. Really like the nose, good change from christmas beers and lagers. Taste has bread, more light spice, sweet finish, and a little thin, but good.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy golden body with a pillowy white head that slowly fades. Lively carbonation. Excellent lacing. Aroma of stainless steel, blood and yeast. Flavour of boiled cabbage, pear and earth. Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft carbonation fizz. I tried this only two weeks before its best before date, so maybe it had deteriorated a bit, but I really wasn’t impressed with this - it’s watery, vegetal and just plain dull.

WillemsUrenkel (309) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - DEC 6, 2013
0,5 l bottle with an overloaded lable art design. Not cloudy, no, milky in the glass. Very small head for a Weizen. Low carbonation. Modest sweet fruity, more yeasty on the nose. Starts with a little bit sweet banana. Followed by a light yeasty sourness. Watery! Big disappointment. Don´t think that something with the bottle is wrong. Best before date 14.03.14.

Pours a cloudy dark golden colour with a white head. Aroma of wet earth, some grass, wheat and caramel. Flavour of somewhat complex caramel notes, wheat, dough, grassy and herbal notes. Medium bodied, a bit thin mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Decent.

50 cl bottle. BBE 27.11.2013.
Pours hazy orange color with a medium sized head, somewhat viscotic texture. Aroma is a bit citric, some wheat notes, dry hay, yeast and some distant sweet banana. Flavor of yeast, ripe fruits, some faint spice notes, distant wheat and butter. Decent.

Philym (695) - St Neots, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - AUG 31, 2013
Appearance: Hazy amber with 2 finger thick white head. Aroma: Slightly peppery, slight orchard fruit sourness, apricot and notes of grass. Taste: Low sweetness and low/medium bitterness, medium/high sourness, citrusy fruity sourness. Palate: Thick texture, light/medium body and mouthfeel, prickly/high carbonation, and an abrupt sourness in the finish. The sharpness does linger slightly. Comments: Enjoyable and refreshing. Had this on draught at the GBBF 2013 and it was far better than the bottle rated here. There were more banana notes and less of a sharp citrus taste.
