2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
An unclear orange beer with a thin white head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet wheaty. Nothing wrong, but nothing special either.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
a sim rate:
It’s alright. Nothing to make it stand out from other German weisses. Usual banana flavour, but with a slight grape tinge. Quite thick.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at GBBF, August 2005. Orangey colour. And it has quite a zesty, orangey flavour too. Quite a soft hefe. The banana and vanilla is there, but not as overpowering as some. Definite yeasty notes and gentle acidity. Distinct sweet and sour effect. I tend to prefer these more restrained style to the fuller estery ones that can sometimes seem rather overblown and a bit flabby.

Bottled @ GBBF 2005: Light amber coloured. Dusty. Beige dense head. Dense banana aroma, with notes of yeast and cloves. Quite nice. Flavour is full and smooth. Spiced, sweet, bananaish and malty. Has a nice spicy end. Highly drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. I found this to be quite pleasant. Smooth banana and clove, with touches of vanilla, didn’t mind this, pretty smooth/soft.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Dark orange colour. Slightly off-white, bubbly head. Fizzy carbonation. Spicy, wheaty aroma. Normal weizen flavour with the emphasis on spiciness. Goes stale quite fast, due to its too lively carbonation. A decent hefeweizen. Thanks to joss for the bottle.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled. Another day another hefeweizen. A style which never fails to underwhelm me, yet I quite like drinking them. This one is a hazy amber colour and has a short lived white head. The aroma and taste are what you expect from most hefes but this one has a bit of a harsh taste which detracts from the usual sweet banana/yeast taste. I can drink these every day yet fail to get excited.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Wheaty but not overpoweringly so with a taste that lingers for some time. Slightly cloudy and left some yeast at the bottom of the bottle
