2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 kalervo (233) - FINLAND - DEC 16, 2010
A bit better than Karhu Korpisavu III, still like regular lager, not really smoked beer. Some copper in taste.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 BeerBaboon (846) - FINLAND - DEC 12, 2010
Tämä olut omaa pikkuveljeänsä komeamman vaahdon, josta näyttäisi jäävän pieni pysyvä vaahtokerros oluen pinnalle. Isoveljen väri on sama kuin pikkuveljen -kuparinen. Edelleen makeaa maltaisuutta ja savun tuoksua ja makua. Sama pieni hedelmäisyys maussa. Paksumpi suutuntuma.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ungstrup (22906) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 1, 2010
Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, smoke, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and smoke, leading to a dry smokey finish.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20 ekstedt (3624) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 15, 2010
Bottle (33 cl), thanks deft. Clear amber, small off-white head. Nutty and smoked malt aroma. Medium bodied and smooth. A bit sweet with a smokey bitterness. Not my thing.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 gnoff (4830) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 14, 2010
33 cl bottle thanks to deft! On October 13, 2010. BB 14.10.2010
Clear copper color, white head. Malty, subtle but evident touch of smoke, scent.
Smoke, sweet, malty taste.
Medium to smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.
Some more smoked parts and more maltiness would help for my taste.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 lusikka (2062) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 28, 2010
330 ml bottle. Rated @ 22.3.2009.
Copper colour, no head. Similar nose than the III version; smoke, malts and ham. Some weird notes too. The flavour of malts, caramel, smoke and alcohol. Thin mouthfeel. III version was better.
1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 29, 2010
from old notes Creamy ivory head; brilliant , medium copper hue. Mildly smoky (beechwood, alder?), buttery, grainy, light pears. Dry, lightly acidic, mildly bitter; very fruity, soft lingering smoke. Creamy by way of full carbonation and silky texture, medium-light body. Very mild for a smoked beer and not particularly crisp or elegant.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 mabjork (652) - Vasa, FINLAND - AUG 27, 2010
Bottled. Dark golden in color. The aroma is malty, but modest. the taste is mostly malty. But then, bank, a smoky taste, sweet with an almost dry aftertaste that somehow manages to lubricate the tongue. Yummy!
