COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Less would be enough. With its rich copper colour Tosi Vahva (Special Strength) Karhu is generously malted and flavoured with the best hops. It is a balanced, special strength and full-bodied beer.

There is a 8.8 % version of this, which is sold in the Tax Free shops on the cruiseships from/to Finland. Ratings should, however, be put under this entry.

Pours clear brown with a low head. Aroma is apple juice and some malts. Flavor is apple juice, malts and lots of metallic alcohol. Awful.

Colour of copper. Aroma of malt and cardboard. Nothing else to say about the taste either. It’s been years since I had this this and it is actually better this time.

Can from Tbone, thanks! Amber color. Grainy perfumed flavor with caramel and apple. Alcoholic. No specific aroma. Keeps the alcohol addict happy.

Clear amber colour with small white head. Dark malty aroma with lots of alcohol. Sweet malty flavour. Flavour is like 50% beer and 50% vodka. Some bitter hoppiness in aftertaste.

Copper coloured. Vapour of sweet malt and alcohol. The taste of liquor is distinctive in both flavour and finish. Sweet and alcoholic. I imagine this is the beer some of the characters in Arto Paasilinna’s books drink. (330ml bottle from Alko in Hätta, Finland. Shared 29.apr.09 at beer session in Tromsø)

Great in taste - like all the karhu beers. Unfortunately the alcohol shines through way too much.
