Can, 56.8 cl. Clear golden yellow colour, tiny white head. Sweetish grainy malty aroma with a hoppy note. Malty flavour, mild grassy-hoppy finish. Marginally better than the regular Karhu III.

568ml can. Pours clear golden to bronze liquid with a large head. Aroma of hay, some metal notes. Taste has hints of hay, grass, starch and pretty dull short. Finishes with dry and starchy notes. Not that different from the regular one, this one is probably more fresh and you can actually notice some distant hints of hops. Will never buy again.

Tide (1793) - Espoo, FINLAND - MAY 15, 2013
Can from supermarket. Golden color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, malts, bread, grass, grain and some hops. Malty body, only a bit of hops. Bitter finish with grass and some hops. Drinkable, not much better than the standard Karhu III.

zomba (212) - Nokia, FINLAND - MAY 4, 2013
Can. More hoppy than the regular Karhu but despite the name not really very hoppy.

kingstoni (1520) - FINLAND - APR 26, 2013
Can. Clear golden color with a frothy white head. Some Czech pilsener hops in otherwise watery aroma. Malty taste with some bitterness in finish. A bit sticky on palate. Would be a lot better with more hops affecting the flavor also.

Not much different from original Karhu. Maybe little less sweetness. I think Double hops means that there is two different hops. Not double quantity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

thellgren (284) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 21, 2013
1 pint can from local supermarket. Decent head, lots of bubbles, colour is darkish yellow. Looks like the ordinary Karhu beer, but taste is much lighter. There is some faint aftertaste of hoppiness, though. Quite different from what I expected (i.e. not twice as hoppy as the normal Karhu).

Juseq (158) - FINLAND - APR 20, 2013
Can. Nose is clean and yeasty malty and similar to the traditional karhu. Taste has additional caramel sweetness and some floral hops. The aftertaste is simply awful and disgusting topped with old and fermented farty hops. After the awful aftertaste there is metallic bitterness. Similar but not even as good as the original karhu.
