Very malty as the normal Karhu but a nicer hoppy flavour. Not much of difference to the original but better anyway.

Boks 0,33l. Spandert av og delt med Rune på seanse i WC-veien 4 Jun 14. Gyldenbrun. Middels høyt luftig skum som varer litt. Litt lacing. Beskjeden maltaroma. Smaken er søt malt. Blir litt tørr etter hvert.

330ml can shared with Finn. Pearl white head to a clear dark golden coloured body. Lacing rings down the glass. Grain malty nose. The taste profile brings notes of dried fruits and caramel malts. Restrained malt-fruity end. Medium to thin bodied. Anonymous (Tromsø 04.06.2014).

Many thanks for this can to rosenbergh. Pours dark golden in colour, with white head. Mild aroma and flavour. Clean and a little malty.

Yet another good looking can, however, not something I would recommend. Sickly sweet malt flavor with grass supplanting what ought to have been hop character. Bit of a buttery texture to it as well. Did not enjoy.

568ml (?) can. Clear amber body with a medium white head. Lacing. Sweet malty body with grassy hops. Some fruit and honey.

djoeye (1203) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 4, 2014
Scents of hops, grass, juicy malts, bread dough. Persistent off white head, golden clear body, puffy lacings. Taste; grains and malts, pearly light hops, citric juicy bready stuff. Mild as lager to palate. Finishes with bread, dark bread, some hops underneath. Drinkable but not impressive. Pint can 4.6%abv b@supermarket in Finland, t@home Norway.

Can pint. Clear golden color, decent white head. Aroma has some grassy hoppyness, sweet Koff-type maltyness. Light bodied. Sweetish maltyness in the flavor, quite similar to Karhu but perhaps with some extra rough hops in the finish. Useless.

56,8cl can from Stockmann Herkku, Helsinki. Pours clear golden with a white head. Seems like almost all the hops are outside the can and not inside. The usual pale lager aroma. grainy with notes of cooked vegetables and hints of fruits and possibly grass too. Medium sweet with some bitterness, but pretty watery and flavourless. Slightly more bitter the the usual pale lager. Some bitterness in the rather short aftertaste. Drinkable enough, but so is water and I’m not quite sure what I would prefer. I guess it depends on the situation and location...
