3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Said to be the newest Orval - clone . Pours dark amber , quite clear . Big white head , less stable than the real orval though .
Smell has brett, but is sharper .
too high carbonation ( both for my taste and for the clone-idea )
Sharp brett, bread-maltyness . quite alright . Mouthfeel is very thin though .. Not my favourite Orval clone, and orval isnt even a personal favourite ...

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
33cl bottle. This beer was made to copy Orval. Brown with medium head. Nose : yeast, candy, tart, banana, apple, grapes. Sip : Good cabonation, fluffy body. Moderate sweet with flavors of cooked fruits and apple seeds. Dry develops through fruit aromas and spicy clove. It leaves a sour wood, clove and earthy feeling on tongue. Well balanced bitter hops in the aftertaste. The beer is not an Orval but a good attempt to be one. Less complexity but still a good brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Ambrée trouble, effervescence moyenne, col blanc fin crémeux. Malts caramels en retrait face à une amertume de pelures d’agrumes et des notes de fruits de style lychees. Un rien trop aqueuse mais pas mal, pas mal...

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle into tulip glass; best before 11/1/2012(code L1101). Pours lightly hazy and cloudy golden orange color with a 2 finger fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, apple, peach, pear, apricot, pineapple, grape, floral, clove, black pepper, wood, grass, honey, and earthy yeast spiciness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast notes with a moderate malt balance. Taste of tart apple, pear, apricot, lemon, peach, grape, clove, black pepper, floral, honey, bread, grass, wood, and earthy yeast spiciness. Light earthy tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of light fruits, citrus, clove, black pepper, honey, bread, floral, grass, wood, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast ester flavors; with a moderate malt balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly slick, crisp, and earthy mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice wild Belgian strong pale ale. All around nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy esters with moderate malt sweetness; and quite smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable slow sipper.

Bottle, bought @ De Hopduvel, Gent.
Pours light hazy amber with a large, frothy, white head. Good duration. Lovely aroma, brett, strawberries, caramel, mild apple. Medium to high carbonation, fine and very dry mouthfeel. Flavour has good funk, almost metallic dry, quite a bit of apple. Lingering, quite dry mouthfeel.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Doesnt taste really like a wild ale. Nice aromas but a bit boring concerning taste. Malty with a faint sour hint.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl Bottle @ Gents Bierfestival. Light brown to dark amber coloured beer with some light carbonation and a small off white head. Nice fruity hoppy balanced aroma with a short herby hoppy hint. Medium to full palate. Finish is hoppy bitter sweet fruity with a longer bitter ending. Very nice. Though this is not sour/wild Ale in my opinion.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Reddish brown colour, beige head. Floral aroma, candy sugar, citrus, red berries, marmelade and herbs. Light but very sweet flavour. Finish light, some candy and sweets.
The nose is promissing, but the rest is lagging behind, unfortunately.
