2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
0.5l bottle Good caramel hops mead, kvass aroma. Good little smoky caramel and tofee taste, but it is too watery. Taste run for a moment, sadly. This beer must be stronger flavors. Cant enjoy it on the winter. Seems it is not real Porter, but color refers to.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
500ml bottle from Tallinn, dark brown colour, medium mostly vanishing frothy off-white head, very little lacing. Moderate somewhat roasty and bready malts with a hint of plums, light resiny and peppery hops. Taste is initially mildly sweet and sour and a bit acidic, turning intoa moderately bitter short finish with a moderately alcoholic feel. Thin to medium body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not very enjoyable, surprisingly little taste if it’s supposed to be a porter as the alcohol was quite noticeable and it rarely is with decent porters that are significantly stronger. Not undrinkable but not very enjoyable.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500 ml bottle. Pours quite clear brown with a dissipating bubbly head. Aroma is malty, sweet with some toffee, quite light. At least it doesn’t smell as wet cardboard. Taste is quite light but it’s there. Carbonation cleans your palate, some malty caramel giving way to a longer bitterness. Some roast in the taste. I can still understand this beer has been brewed in Karksi - it does have this distinctive watery malt character - but it could be one of my favourites from there.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Not my cup of tea despite drinking it with the first snow falling from the sky ... Pours dark red with a nice beige head which lasts for 5 minutes, then it’s gone. In aroma - a little bit sour, maybe some hints of steel and also some caramel. Taste - first a little bit sweet-sour, middle has some hops and aftertaste is oily burnt sugar taste.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
500 ml bottle. Thanks laiti.
Pours a dark brown colour with a foamy off-white head. Aroma is sugary sweet with syrup and some wet earthy notes. Flavour of sweet sugary malts, bread, some weak tart berries and oh so sweet caramel. Light bodied, thin mouthfeel and a watery, malty, sweetish finish. Baltic Porter? Hell no. Porter? Still no. Dunkel? More likely, but overall a thin sweet beer.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
50 cl bottle @ home, BBE 15.09.2013
Aroma is quite light with some hay, metal and roasted notes. Also some grainy notes, bun dough and hints of cocoa. Flavour has nuts, roasted notes, some cocoa and hints of coffee. Feels dry and nutty. Gets some chocolate and distant berry notes at the end of the glass. Nothing to do with porter – looks, smells and tastes like a German dunkel.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
50 cl bottle.
Pours clear dark red color with a small head. Aroma of sweet malts, some yeast notes, dark berry notes and mild caramel. Flavor of dark fruits, some bread, yeast, malts and faint caramel notes. More like a dunkel, but decent as such. Can’t locate the porter here.
