Seems that they make it now in 330ml bottles. Soggy copper color. Almost no head. Sweet malts, caramel in aroma. Watery, sweet malts body, faint caramel. Very smooth to drink.

Dark amber, small off-white head. Nose is malts and toffee mixed with sour notes. Taste is malt, buttery caramel, dried fruit, toffee. Smooth palate, soft carbonation. Falls short of a good beer, it’s just OK.

Deep brown pour with a light head the nose is a little bit sweet and toffeeish. Kind of fatty and a little bit sweet. Bland and a little bit sticky with some soft fruity character. A little bit of chewy cooked toasted malt. Meh - it doesnt really come together for me.

(Bottle. Thanks to SaintMatty) Amber colour with disappearing, frothy, off-white head. Malty nose with dark bread, ryvita, brown sugar and hints of buttery malt. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of brown bread, toasty malt, dried fruit (raisins, prunes), brown sugar and hints of butter. Medium body, fairly sweet, with low bitterness. Decent, but not really exciting.

mjs (3001) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 8, 2010
(Bottle, 1 litre, thanks SaintMatty) Due to my mistake I’m drinking this after the best before date has already passed. Beer is dark brown and its head was small, white and fizzy. Aroma was quite sweet with mild roastedness and bit of carboard. Beer had turned a bit dry and perhaps lost some of its carbonation. Body was medium. Flavours were dominated by sweetness and caramell. Bitterness was almost non-existent. There is some potential was better beer but all is drowned by the excessive sweetness. Drinking the whole bottle would be too much..

This beer is only available in 1L plastic bottles. I had to buy that in order to taste this brew. Beer in a plastic bottle is just like wine in a juice carton - not so classy. Most of the beers sold in plastic bottles in Estonia are considered to be "hobo beers" - the strongest and cheapest beers in 2L plastic bottles. Anyway, I really wanted to taste this beer. Aroma is is kind of sour with a faint maltiness echoing in the background. Is this the fault of the plastic bottle? I can’t tell. I poured the beer quite fast into my glass - still almost no head. The colour is okay, the usual dark amber for a dunkel. The flavor has some more sourness with a lot of yeast and raisins. I really wanted to like this beer. The "best before" date was faintly printed on the neck of the bottle and was extremely unnoticeable.
